Slow service and a lackluster margarita made with orange juice. My companion enjoyed his meal. Mine was ok, but way overpriced for the amount I was served. The rooftop patio was nice, and made up somewhat for the food and drinks.
An earlier reviewer is right about the guacamole. It is smashed avocado, lacking the flavors that make it true guacamole.
Overall, I would recommend going to one of the other Mexican restaurants on Main.

Waitress started by trying to give us the menu on a dirty table. We had to ask for everything including basics like napkins and salt and pepper which should have been automatic. Food was mediocre at best. Shrimp were over-cooked and tough. Same with the scallops. We got a mound of soggy french fries with only a few of the featured items on top. Over priced, poor quality and inefficient service.

If you are going to Main Street Hyannis in the summer you can expect every single place to be packed, have a wait, and pay a little more than you are used to. This is expected and if you have a problem with that you should probably stay home and eat a TV dinner.
The exception is and always has been Gringos. Never a wait and never a line.
This is absolutely because most people who have been there do not return.
I am the exception. Year in and year out I go back there when my childhood friend comes back from California to visit .
The drinks if not bottled have a hint of sewage water taste. I'm not sure if the dishwasher has just not been cleaned since the bush administration or they have their fountain and water dispensing machine is hooked up to Grey water or tapped directly into a bouse house.
The food you can luckily use to wash down the drinks with. Although it is possibly toxic and taste as if it was made with government cheese. The shimmering layer of grease not only will lubricate your throat so you can put down the mystery meat but will also cure you of any bowel blockage issues you may have.
The food and drink are not the worst aspects of this place. The staff consist of the most stoic lumps of nothing you have ever seen. If a stump put on a pastel shirt that says "Gringo's" on it then they would be employee of the month... Every. Single. Month.
I never felt the need to review this place because the fit a need. No wait, tequila, outdoor seating.
This year for my yearly visit when we got to the entrance we were "greeted" by the most miserable Liam Gallagher looking man. I'm not actually sure what his job was and if I had to guess his dog died this morning. Besides the fact that he did not say anything to us and looked like he was on suicide watch he decided that we were not the type of people he wanted in there. Because he would not initiate conversation I said to him "Hey, are you guys open? We are looking to have a good time." Mine you none of us had yet touched an adult beverage. He looked at my friend (who does not ever drink) and said he looked wasted. He called me aggressive for saying that we are looking to have fun. He continued to belittle us and tell us how we were not worthy of the place that all of the other patrons are in wife beaters and cut off jean shorts.
I knew this place was a dump but that is why I went there. I have only decided to review them because they refused us service based on one lonely mans grumpy attitude.
Also, gringo is a racist term used by Mexicans to describe white people. It's basically more messed up than the Washington Redskins.

Place is a dive.. McDonald's is 5 star compared to this nightmare Place. The place was empty and our hostess seemed pissed we stopped in for lunch ($0 tip was her reward). Just save yourself the disgusting meal, go across the street or get a better meal from Cumberland farms
