I used will-call for the first time today. Went into the greyhound kiosk to pick up my tickets. The gentleman was so nice. Fast service. Buses are always on time. There's also free wifi as you wait. This is more of a recommendation to greyhound: all people to pick up will call tickets up to half hour before their ride. One hour before is too much time to wait.
In 2018 I rated 4 stars, in 2019 it is worth 1 star. Always leaves on time from Kitchener in the early morning. I never had a problem with either the drivers or the sales people at the Kitchener terminal. The website is useless both on desktop or mobile. Travel times posted on the useless website should have at least 30 minutes added for rush hour buses to Toronto. If you are a commuter, there is ONE morning bus that is express from Kitchener to Toronto a 2 hour ride. As of April 2019 there are NO express buses from Toronto to Kitchener, which means the ride is 3 hours on average. Unfortunately, despite efforts from all commuters to contact people at Greyhound, the decision to eliminate the express commuting bus from Toronto was made without taking into account the good number of people who depend on the service to get home for dinner. Tough luck. Typically the buses going into Toronto are comfortable enough to allow for some sleep. The buses departing from Toronto in the afternoon are absolutely uncomfortable, and that is the 3 hour ride. It is horrendous on the way back.
How can one company get so many things wrong? This is the 8th or 9th time my daughter has used Greyhound. After today's trip, I decided to write a review. I want this company to do well, but they simply do not know how to run a business. I'm going to list the number of screw-ups but do not have time to go into detail. 1. They changed the departure time of her trip, and then was 15 min. late leaving the station although everyone was on board. 2. The driver was extremely rude to a mentally challenged passenger and it was not the passenger's fault I saw and heard the exchange and remarked against the driver. Other customers were shocked. 3. The bus was delayed at each stop and no one on board was told what they were waiting for. Many customers were getting nervous as many had connections. No communication from driver with explanation to ease fears. 4. The total length of the route was to be about 1.5hrs in duration. The bus actually got to its destination, 1.5 hours later than its own scheduled arrival time. For this to happen with no clear reason, nor explanation, is unbelievable. Its not the first time. Plan on being late when you travel Greyhound... very late.
Worst. Service. Ever. Like....unbelievably bad. And i'm pretty lenient with this stuff. They lost my baggage and assured me they would get it back to me. They have not tried to contact me once. In the last week, I have called 20 times, e-mailed four times. No answer, no response. What kind of company doesn't answer the effin phone?! Like customer service wasn't picking up! Unreal. You are way better off just taking the GO bus. Seriously, use literally any other transportation service. Oh, also the bus was late, and then it broke down, so a 2 hour journey from Toronto to Waterloo took us 8 hours.
Some drivers are great, others are super sensitive. I had my music on and they could barely hear itthrough my headphone and they pulled the bus over and asked me to turn it down. Couple in the seats a couple of rows ahead of me said they didn't even hear anything. Little ridiculous.
Terrible. If you want to know what a poorly designed company looks like, take a look at this one. The bus is late 100% of the time averaging about 45 minutes. If you’re a patient human then you won’t have any problems this service, but if you’re like me and would rather not wait in -10 weather for an extra hour then don’t use this service. Will never use this service again in my life.
The Kitchener Pearson route is good, but it was nearly an hour late. The drive said that it has been late since the new route started, but the schedule still hasn't been fixed. I'm glad that I allowed for plenty of time before my flight!
Greyhound has improved lately. However at this terminal the bus going to Guelph turned out to be the Toronto one. Wasn't informed till after it left.
Busses seem to be old and falling apart, was late to scheduled stop, bus broke down on highway and had to wait an hour for another bus to come pick us up. Comfortable seats though.
Don't trust Greyhound to get you to the airport from Kitchener, not only is the bus late but they don't even know when it will arrive. Guess they don't understand we're trying at get to the airport on time for flights!?!?
