The most amazing place with amazing staff!! Maryanne on 5 in Oncology is the most amazing nurse you could ever have. She made us every week feel incredibly comfortable and it's people like her that make hard time less hard. This hospital saved my mom's life and I am forever grateful, I am forever thankful. The whole team, from the labs right to the doctor's and nurses are such a wonderful team!! The cancer care team is the best, thank you for all your hard work. Not only do they care for the patient, but they care for the family too.

They don’t even deserve the star they get so thanks google. Been here since 9:15 pm when I’m currently typing this it’s 4:42 am the next day. We sat in the emergency room for 7 hours 3 of those hours we were the only ones in the emergency room. Finally got called but now in a room with three other patients who are clearly in a lot of pain but we’ve all been ignored for 2 hours no one checking to see if anyone needs anything. They walk by us and make jokes and laughing at the nurses station it is absolutely ridiculous!

Yesterday I spent a great deal amount of time at the hospital. I had went in with tingling all through my left arm and finger tips. The hospital was fairly busy and a couple of patients definitely voiced their concern about the wait time quite loudly in the back rooms. The staff was absolutely amazing and very throu. They were all incredibly kind from the front desk to the blood tec, xray staff, nurses etc. I am a bit of a shut in and do not get to the doctor and am very awkward when speaking to people in person. Even when something ridiculous came out of my mouth they treated me like what I said was normal. My veins normally explode when I have IV's in or when having blood drawn and they listened to that info and treated me with kindness through my anxiety. Dr. Alkurdi treated me and he listened to my concerns and took the seriously. He was knowledgeable, kind, efficient and had patience with my anxious rambling. At one point I even fist bumped the poor man lol. The reason I am writing this review is the hospital staff deserve more kindness and understanding from us patients. It is not the staffs fault that the wait times are high. If you are waiting to be seen it is because they are treating someone else or are ordering tests or looking at said results etc for you or another patient. Wait times are high because the Ford government slashed funding. I am not saying don't complain, just complain to the right people. A first step would be voicing your concerns to city council, mps etc. Maybe vote ndp or green party at the next elections or the liberals.nnPs. Thank you Owen Sound Hospital for making me feel like a person and for reminding me that it is okay to touch grass outside occasionally, even if it's under florescent lighting well wearing a back open hospital gown.

The Emergency room is nothing short of disappointing. The lack of presence past Registration is mind blowing. They move you from room, to room, to room. Zero communication. Id give Brightshores Emergency Room ZERO stars if I could.
