Great family park with something for everyone to enjoy. Big children's playground with a splash pad, full-sized swimming pool, sandbox with a water feature and even a firepit. A roller and ice skating rink plus a hockey area are also available. There is a baseball diamond and plenty of free green space for games or relaxation/ picnic. Adult exercise equipment is also present as well as a community garden. The dog park is amazing with sections for small or big dogs and has astroturf so the dogs don't get muddy. Lots of water stations and even a dog pool. However, there is an issue in regard to garbage being left around the park. The playground is strewn with swimming brackets from the pool, straws and other snack wrappers litter the sand and when people have parties they tend to leave all their garbage laying around the picnic tables. It's very frustrating.
In spring it is good on sunny and dry days. After the rain the playground is full of puddles. The park has a place to play hockey, baseball, socker futbol, ride bicycles, roller skate, some calisthenic gym, fountain for kids, sandbox, swimming pool during summer. Playground: All ages, but after the rain playground is so king in water. Restrooms: In the building fully equipped washrooms Picnic area: There are tables with benches
Great urban park in Toronto. Outdoor pool, skate trail, playground, baseball diamonds. There is a farmers market on Sundays. Access by public transit or street parking.
It's a cool park just near Gerrad St. Lots of space to play, bike, and kid friendly with the jungle gym section. If you're here, do witness the sunsets from top of the park.
Nice park very spacious it needs more trees hence why rating is 4/5. baseball fields are well maintained it is fairly clean. It’s good for doggos. Overall good park - the ’s.
This is a wonderful community park with a pool splash pad and play equipment. Large open area with room to simply run and play or throw a ball around. Great little market on Sunday with fresh produce , baked goods etc. Nice fenced dog park there also.
I like here. Pretty big grass park. There are many people during the weekend.
We love going to the farmers market on Sundays. Free live music, baseball, snacks to purchase. The playground is phenomenal - there's a great splash pad, muddy play area, rope climbing area. It always seems to be full of people but doesn't seem to get crowded somehow. Also the free outdoor pool And lots of cute doggos around because of the dog park area.
This is a great little park. It has tons of amenities but it's not too spread out. We love to get treats and picnic food from Jinglepear, the vegan deli across the street.
The latest round of renovations has made Greenwood Dog Park a clean, open off leash park for dogs. Ringed by a concrete path it is fully accessible. The turf in the main area is artificial but the dogs don't seem to mind. As of now, the natural turf area is not open. Water is available. There is also a separate small dog area. No dedicated parking so it's a gamble if there is street parking nearby especially on Sunday when the park hosts a market event.
