I stumbled upon this Japanese restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be such a hidden gem! The Tornado Omurice is absolutely delicious—soft, fluffy eggs wrapping the rice perfectly, with a rich and flavorful sauce that ties it all together. It’s hands down one of the best I’ve ever had.nnWhat makes this place even more special is the dining atmosphere. The vibe is warm and inviting, with interior decor that feels both relaxing and cozy. It’s the kind of spot where you can truly unwind and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.nnSometimes, the best discoveries are the ones you don’t plan for, and this restaurant is a perfect example of that. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine or just looking for a place with great food and a peaceful vibe, I can’t recommend this place enough!
A delicious Japanese fusion place with an amazing atmosphere! It's got quite a nice selection of foods on the menu, and a fantastic portion size for the cost. This is our second time here and the taste is quite consistent as well! I highly recommend their omelet rice :
This place is hidden gem nested in the edge of Burnaby! Its cozy ambiance and super fast service is something I really enjoyed. Food was out in less than 10 mins.nnI tried their Omurice and it was sumptuous. It was a burst of umami goodness with every bite! Their various sushi platters are also a must try. Not only is it visually appealing, it tastes really good as well!nnOverall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to try a different take on Japanese food. I’m looking forward to try other items in their menu on my next visit.
A cozy eatery for some delicious omurice and aburi dishes in the Burquitlam area! And one of the best value places for aburi in the Lower Mainland!nnI highly recommend getting the aburi platter if you ever come here as a group or on a date. It lets you try out different flavours and is a great talking point! If you’re not interested in ordering an entire platter, honestly any other aburi oshi order will do! The omelette rice is also a delicious choice if you’re craving some home style comfort food. I also recommend the Mentaiko Cream Linguine if you’re craving pasta and sushi but couldn’t decide on an option.nnIf you’re an indecisive and visual person, they also feature a great photo menu of the items - thank you!nnAs for service, they’ve introduced robot servers to deliver your food as well, so that’s cute too but I’m not too sure if it really fits the ambiance of the restaurant.
Always a great meal at Green Leaf! This place is my go-to for aburi sushi. The aburi platter + tornado omelette rice was perfect for three people. The mentaiko cream linguine is so delicious & better than your average pasta place! If you plan on ordering the aburi individually, I highly recommend the salmon and truffle avocado one!
