Very disappointing. This used to be my go to place. I often recommended it. I will no longer do that. Hot and sour soup that was neither hot nor sour. Every dish was lacking flavour or what flavour it had was not nice. We actually threw all of the food out! Non was salvageable. $100 wasted. Granted, it's Christmas Eve. We had a 3 hour pickup time. If you're so busy that your product suffers STOP TAKING ORDERS!
The food was stale, smelly and inedible. When we called the restaurant to tell them this they were very rude and questioned us whether we’ve ever eaten Chinese food. One of the dishes we ordered was coconut shrimp which is supposed to be “shrimp coated in shredded coconut and fried”. What they gave us was battered shrimp which was stale, flavourless and dripping in oil and a ‘coconut sauce’ which was white, goopy, smelly and tasted horrible. We also ordered schezuan chicken which was slimy and stale - it tasted so bad, I wonder if it even was chicken? We couldn’t eat beyond one bite and had to throw away everything which I’ve never done in my life. I never write reviews and I’m generally ok with mediocre takeout food but this experience was so bad in terms of the food and speaking with the representative of the restaurant that it ruined our night. I had to write this review to warn others to never eat at this place or order from here. You’re better off eating cereal than giving this place a go! If you know the workers or owner of this place, please inform them to take a deep look into what they are serving and how they are dealing with customer feedback. Also an investigation needs to be carried out to check if they are violating any health and restaurant codes because the quality of food was appalling.
This is the WORST Chinese food I have ever eaten in 30 years of my life! We ordered coconut shrimp, chicken wonton and schezuan chicken - stale, smelly and cold. Everything went in the garbage unfortunately. Please stop serving such pathetic quality food.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! Best place in Bowmanville in my opinion, food is always consistent and flavourful! We probably get the great wok once or twice a month !!
10/10 would not recommend!!!! I only gave 1 star because I had to give at least 1 to post review! Half of our order was wrong and the whole meal was gross. The beef wasn’t what we ordered and what we did receive for beef was a mushy gross mess!!! The chicken was grey and the noodles were wrong. The only good thing about the food I guess this will count for the 1 star was after waiting 40 minutes for it, at least it showed up hot. Definitely a waste of money
I used to recommend this place ! :. Had it today for the first time in aprox 1 year or so? The food is completely different. Texture, taste everything. I couldn’t even finish it. I would no longer recommend this place. I’m sure others still enjoy it. But I will not order again unfortunately
Decent Chinese, staff very polite Orders have always been right. Close to me so pretty fast. It's my second best Chinese place around. Overall good rating!
Decided to try this place out for the first time. Unfortunately, the Food was not good. The fortune cookies were the tastiest part of the meal.
Eating here is self-harm. Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’ve given them two shots, and that’s it. The rice hardly had any taste, but it was the gray and slimy meat that was the biggest turnoff. I don’t know how this place is still in business. You’d be better off eating out of a dumpster.
Wow! Just wow. The sesame chicken is phenomenal, and the chicken balls are absolutely delicious. My children and I absolutely love this place, and it has never disappointed. Not once. Their noodles, rice, all kinds of chicken -- very good. One of my favourite places indeed.
