Been meaning to try Chinese from here and finally did. The FOOD was EXCELLENT!!! It tasted so fresh and healthy. As in I didn’t feel it was heavy or oily or too salty. The portions were more than expected. We got Mongolian beef which turned out to be a favourite, chicken green curry, general tso, chicken balls, fried rice, and Shanghai noodles. We loved it all!!! And even left overs the next day were as good as fresh reheated. This is our new Chinese spot in Bowmanville! Thank you - absolutely delicious!
Refused to honor pricing shown on website. Very unprofessional. Nick was being very condescending and refused to acknowledge that their apparently old menu was still posted. Searched Google for Chinese food in Bowmanville. Site that came up showed me the menu page with combos and prices. Nick said I had not searched properly. I asked what were the new combos and he said he would "explain it to me CLEARLY"! Very disrespectful. FYI I never raised my voice but just repeatedly stated that what I was seeing was different and that I wanted the combos as shown. Going to find out how to report this place for falsely advertising. Bait and switch scheme.
I have been eating in and taking-out orders from here since I moved to Bowmanville seven years ago, and have never once been disappointed. The food is always delicious and hot. If you're the impatient type or just have a generally combative nature, you're always going to find something wrong with everything in your life see others' reviews. It's food, people--grow up and be thankful you're not going to bed hungry.
Fantastic! We have been looking a good Chinese food restaurant for years and so happy we found this place. This will definitely be our go to takeout Chinese. Just finished our meal and couldn’t be happier. Very friendly staff.
Have went to this establishment for some time now but I have to say take out containers half size only at most 8 different food to choose from food was absolutely terrible use to love going there but after this no more was very disappointed
I used to really love this place, my last three orders have been incredibly late and they’ve offered nothing at discount. I’m always polite but this is crazy they need to be realistic with order times. The Uber’s are always priority here aswell.DONT ORDER TAKE OUT HERE :
aweful. never will i ever go back there. They had a horrible selection, high prices for the tiny buffet boxes and the staff was RUDE. i put 2 items in the box, the noodles were crunchy. we go up with the boxes, told them we didn’t want the one that was pretty much empty. he argued and argued and i refused to pay 20$ after tax for what i had put in it. I then left. He proceeded to talk to my boyfriend about my “attitude problem”. Aweful. double dragon needs a return.
The food was really good and I would have given a five-star but it's only half the buffet that it shows and no sushi which was a disappointment for my daughter as that's why we went there
This place was good when it first opened. I used to always get the same dish. The prices have recently gone through the roof, which I can not understand because there are other Chinese food places a little further east that charge far less. I know all their supplies come from the same place, so what gives? What adds to the insult is that the portions seem smaller and the dishes are always wrong, especially the Cantonese chow mien. I used to be a cook in a Chinese restaurant and that particular dish comes with the following: snow peas, small corn, water chestnut, bamboo shoots, boc choy, mushrooms, onions, shrimp, pork and chicken or cat, which looks like chicken but is more tender. The Cantonese chow mien they serve now does not have snow peas, corn, chesnut, bamboo or boc choy. It does have whatever seems to be the cheapest vegetables that can be bought at the local grocery store. Carrots are always in my chow mien, lately, which has never traditionally been part of the dish. The last time, there was even cabbage in it. If they are going to continue raising the price of this dish, at least put the proper items in it and not some cheap garbage they seem to be trying to get rid of!
First time here. Great service and food. Very pleased with our dinner out.Food: 5/5
