This station is honestly not the best, and I think there’s a lot of room for improvement. The overall look and feel of the place is quite dull, which doesn’t give off a welcoming or modern vibe. For such a busy station, you’d expect a design that feels brighter, easier to navigate, and more efficient. Instead, it often ends up being confusing, especially for people who are new or in a rush.nnOne of the biggest issues is the number of different entrances and the way they are laid out. While multiple access points can sometimes be helpful, here it just adds to the confusion. You often find yourself walking long distances inside the station, and in some cases it feels like it takes five to ten minutes just to reach your platform. I usually don’t mind walking, but when I’m pressed for time, this setup becomes really frustrating.nnAnother recurring problem is the escalators. If one happens to be under maintenance, it creates a huge inconvenience for everyone. With so many people depending on the station, these disruptions can quickly turn into a mess. I really hope the management takes these issues seriously, because it has the potential to be much better. With some thoughtful upgrades and planning, this could be a far more user-friendly and efficient station. Until then, patience is definitely required.
I can’t say it enough... I am very impressed with the Vancouver sky train transit system. It’s fast and convenient and allows people to get wherever they want to go in Vancouver and surrounding areas without having to own an automobile. I have lived in other major cities throughout Canada and Vancouver’s transit system is the best by far. The Granville station is in the heart of the city and has an attractive entryway. There are many stores, businesses and coffee shops to be found at this location ... even a dental office. Once you exit the terminal you are in the hustle and bustle of the city. One of my favourite areas of Vancouver.
This is a great station with connections to the mall and the Canada Line via the mall Trains go to Surrey, Production Way and Lougheed within 40 minutes. Many buses serve this station including the 4, 14 to UBC, 250, 250A, 253, 254, 257 to West Vancouver, 240, 246 to North Vancouver via Lions Gate and 209, 210, 211 to North Van via Ironworkers
Granville station is nice very steep stairs but escalators are there thankfully it's dirty but that's Vancouver I found it frustrating how the elevator was really dirty which for someone who needs to use the elevator it's really frustrating
Awsome downtown skytrain station , very central with connections to Pacific central Station and to metrotown mall and beyond
