Story

We are the face behind LOCAL financial services. Our business model goes above and beyond customer service. Grand Forks Credit Union has been a staple in the Boundary Region for more than 65 years, and we absolutely live to help further the stability and growth of this community. From small business lending, to mortgages, to financial advising and planning, all of our decisions are made locally, by local staff, who are also members. When you bring your banking services to us, the fate of your mortgage does not lay in some automated program from a head office in Toronto, the fate of your mortgage is right here under our roof. Credit Unions have won the IPSOS banking award for customer service 11 years running. This ranking places us against the big banks, and we have repeatedly won. Perhaps it is because we run on a non-profit model, and invest a substantial amount of money back into our community. Or, perhaps it’s because we return hundreds of thousands of dollars directly back to our members each and every year. Whatever it is, we want to thank our current members for their ongoing loyalty, and we want to encourage the rest of our community to go local. One of our newest goals is to open a greater dialog with the community and our members in an effort to find out how we can do even better!
