Story

Founded in 1997, Grand Bay Marine was started by a family that wanted to bring first class boating to Northern Michigan. Now, 20 years later, the company has taken over the industry. We are the 2nd largest Regal dealer in the world and the #1 boat dealer in the region. Grand Bay Marine has made its mark.

We are your source for boats by Regal, Robalo, Chaparral, Bayliner, South Bay Pontoons, Berkshire Pontoons, Crest Pontoons, and Starcraft Pontoons. In addition, we have a complete selection of outboard motors by Evinrude and Mercury.

Currently, we are stationed in both Traverse City and Charlevoix. We have two showrooms and also provide two service departments to give your boat the best maintenance available. Our stores are open seven days a week to make sure that we are there when our customers need us. Our employees have over 450 years of combined experience in the marine industry. We even give free water training and boat orientation for our valued customers. This by far was the best boat buying experience I could have imagined. Tammy and Liz walked me through the process; constantly keeping me updated on progress. Over a 3 year process the staff was patient while I made the decision to move forward on my purchase and helped me find the boat that was the right fit for my family. My wife and I were taken on a great sea trial that was conducted by Larry out of Charlevoix and he did not leave us with any unanswered questions. Finally, after owning several boats over my lifetime Regal is without a doubt the finest! I would recommend a visit whenever you are in TC.

Loved our boat buying experience! The gentleman that took us for a test ride was terrific - an excellent teacher of everything to do with the boat! Everyone at Grand Bay is very nice and helpful and did their very best to sell our previous boat and get us in our new boat!

Tammy and Liz worked hard to get us in the boat we wanted at a price we could afford. They had someone take us out to the lake and help us launch the first time and even came back that night to help us take it out. To make things even better we were put in a drawing for $2,000 and just found out we won!

They have the best people in boating in northern Michigan. Ya gotta love 'em. Tammie made the whole purchase process a breeze. She really helped my wife, SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed), choose the best boat for us and it is beautiful! Rob gave us a complete review of all the features during the wet test and walk thru when we picked up the boat. Make no mistake, we checked out the other options in the Grand Traverse area and this is the place to get your next water craft.
