First time visiting with my son for a last min breakfast. Glad we stopped here as we were very hungry and were not disappointed in the end. The server we had was Kathryn and she was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our food was ready in record time....so was others around us. The portion was the first thing I noticed....they were big! I got a classic Benedict and my son had 3 eggs, 3 bacon and hash. They were both very delicious. We both enjoyed our visit here. Would recommend it and will definitely be back. Same owner but different name due to the restaurant not being part of the franchise anymore. Food and service is still just as good. Parking is a bit tight but worth it for the nostalgic experience of this location. There's a reason that it is so busy and locals love it! Eggs Benedict were delicious and the standard breakfast is good. I wish they had a standard breakfast that included 2-3 meat options without an additional French toast or pancake without having to order a side, but it is what it is! Even with less toast, I had enough food to eat half my breakfast and take the other half home!
Service was good and fast, food was delicious. The location was a little tricky to find though, had to make a sudden turn through a narrow lane… but I’m thinking I must have taken the wrong entrance to get to the parking lot behind the building. There’s another one that is much easier to access.Recommended dishes
New Name Used to be Angel’s on Westmount but same great taste, smiling staff and an amazing breakfast joint. Love the festive vibe this time of the year. We usually come on the weekends and always find a spot or two quickly despite the busy timings.
This restaurant previously known as Angels Diner now name has changed to Grama’s Kitchen. Food is good same menu. Same stuff very friendly as always! Must try place specially for breakfast! They do have delicious and fresh pancakes as well.
Boyfriend and I came around 12pmpeak/busy period, first time since it’s name change from Angels Diner. Food was still excellent, highly recommend a chocolate milkshake! Our server Michelle was awesome- very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back again!
First time here since name change, but don’t worry, still friendly staff and fast service. And the daily soups are still delicious! And a thermos of coffee for the table. Prices are amazing for what you get as well. Try the breakfast pizza, homemade, delicious and a huge bowl of fresh fruit! Chicken salad sandwich and fries, yum!
Excellent breakfast, good pricing and service. Some of the best French toast I've had. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
The wait staff is amazing here!! They're all so nice and super speedy. Food is always good. Love the burgers and breakfasts. If you're looking for quick, inexpensive comfort food, check this place out! :Food: 5/5
Hunting for a place for a basic bacon and egg breakfast - still serving breakfast when it's gone noon. Googled this Grama's Kitchen, and thought we'd try it my son and I. Booths around the perimeter, tables in the centre. Waitress - a dead ringing for Amy Schumer. She was great. Not too friendly, you know the type, never showed up to ask how our food was, when we both had a mouth full of it. What I loved. The coffee was strong...a good thing - and speaking of coffee - they put a small carafe of coffee on the table!!! It was so civilized. The food was great. All of it. They had rye toast - a huge thing for me, the home fries were crunchy on the outside, and tender and tasty on the inside. A regular 2-egg breakfast came with the usual, plus a choice of beans or oatmeal. Lots of big windows with sun streaming in through the slats in the shades. The music wasn't bad. I was singing Killing Me Softly in the washroom. They only played Abba once...which was tolerable. I'd go back. Not fancy food, but the perfect place when you just want a big breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
