GPRC Fitness Centre

For a college campus fitness centre, it’s actually pretty good. There’s a lot of cable machines, and the free weights are decent. The only thing I’d change, was to maybe get rid of one of the cable machines and uses the space for more free weight benches. It definitely needs more of those, and maybe a revamp to the layout.

Has a bit of everything. I can see it getting quite crowded very easily tho.

Decent gym, and we'll priced. Has all the usual equipment and plenty of barbells squat racks and lifting platforms. Chalk is allowed which is rare in Grande Prairie. Gym is kind of small and can be over crowded at peak times

Where to begin.. this is the gym I started going to when I became serious about fitness and haven't wanted to leave ever since. I work out of town lots and always get different gyms to compare to and GPRC Fitness center is always my favourite. The community is pretty good, going to the same gym for almost 2 years you know the usuals and everyone's always friendly. The equipement although older is very well maintained everything is functional and very sturdy. The dumbell free weights are well organized and free of tripping hazards. There's enough equipment that allow you to workout all your muscle groups and a nice selection of bars when using cable machines. The price is reasonable and if your doing cardio and there's a sports game on in the gym below you can watch it from the conscience of your cardio machine! Also change rooms are spacious andnlots of lockers so your not restricted st all and the benches inside the change rooms are large enough so there's rarely a situation where you can't benefit from them! I would recommend this gym to anyone cause I know as long as I'm in GP i will more then likely continue my membership at this facility!

Great old-school gym, has everything you need, benches, squat racks, free weights, cable machines, etc. Its a smaller gym so it can get busy at times. It's usually less busy in the mornings and evenings.

Can easily get a good workout In here!

Not too busy if you go at the right time of day and they have a good variety of equipment. Free for NWP students.

Good selection of equipment and not very busy during the day, if you go on a Friday night you can some live sports while doing your cardio.
