Gourmet Garden is great! I have ordered delivery from them a few times and each time the food has been delivered early. It also is still hot and delicious when I take it out of the bag. First time getting sushi from them tonight!
Best North Shore Sushi. Chinese dishes are consistent and always spot on. Rainbow Roll, Crab Rangoon and Tempura Vegetables are favorites. Wish they had Pork Lo Mein on delivery menu. 5 Stars.
We have liked this place until today. We ordered delivery and the driver was very mean and nasty. He would not leave the food if I didn’t tip him. I called back the restaurant to find out why he would not leave the food and they told me that it was for the tip, I told them that how would I want to tip with his attitude. They called him back and he came back and threw the bag of food on my front door. I had never had this type of experience and as far as I know tip is optional I always tip after the service is fully rendered. I would definitely not tip with this type of service.
East coast Chinese is very different than west coast Chinese food. Now that I'm used to the difference i can appreciate Gourmet Garden. Their food is really good and the staff is friendly. The prices are a bit high but not completely unreasonable. The summer shrimp is super good. Def will return.

Pekin ravioli. Are discussing this time, for years I've been taking ravioli from this place knowing it's quality, but not this time. Ravioli look like they did Not see the skillet, dough is third of inch thick and not cooked, filling is non existent, rest of order as usual: satisfactory. Have a pic but don't know how to attach

We ordered online for our New Year's eve dinner and the food was ready for pickup as advertised. They had a great system where orders that were ready for pickup were staged by the last digit of our phone number for easy and quick retrieval. I did not have to wait and my order was quickly located and brought to me. We have all seen how inflation this year has made everything much more expensive and Gourmet Garden has surely had to raise their prices as well. I found the portion sizes to be the same as in the past and the prices were a tad too expensive for what we ordered. The food was not seasoned and it may have been an oversight due to the holiday rush, but the quality was still there as usual and as we like it.
We went for sushi with a group of friends. The food was average, nothing special. All appetizers overloaded with mayonnaise, not something we would like to eat. They use horrible plastic dishes and plates imitating crystal and china in a condition that lost its “appeal” long time ago. That alone ruins the whole experience. Buy cheap but decent dinnerware from nearby home goods or ikea. Don’t use something that turns people off!
I ordered sushi and Chinese for the family on Mother’s Day. We all ate the same thing. That night we all got sick. We all noticed there was a strange taste. We had such a bad experience! We will never set foot again in that place!!!
