Fast, professional, thorough and honest. Ben inspected my tires, patiently explained the proper service if the tire could not be fixed, and gave me a fair estimate. Ended up with a tire repair rather than replacement and he didn't even charge me! Highly recommended!!

On October 24th, 2017 I called Goodyear Tire Service in Oswego, NY because my daughter who was in college had a battery light on in her car. I was concerned that if she drove the car much longer that she would be left stranded somewhere and me being 3 hours away would not be able to help her out. On October 20, 2017, my daughter took the vehicle to Goodyear Tire and was told that the battery in her car had a dead cell and would need to be replaced at a cost of $150.00. I spoke with the service technician and was concerned with his diagnosis because two months prior I had installed an Interstate battery which cost $119.00. He assured me that the battery had a dead cell and would not be able to be recharged. I became weary of this place rarely do batteries die that quick. I instructed the service technician to take the vehicle out immediately and had my daughter through Facetime install a new battery from Wal-Mart at a cost of $72.00. She then drove the vehicle back to school with the battery light still on. I went down that night and installed a new alternator in her 2003 Dodge Neon which ended up being the problem. My complaint is that Goodyear tried to upsell my daughter for a battery she didn't need. Had they charged her battery that was already in her car they would have been able to fix the real problem which was the alternator. I had the two month old battery checked at two Advanced Auto Locations and both came back stating the battery was good. I recharged the battery and it has been working ever since. The problem now is I have a battery I can not return and I am out $72.00 because of their upsell. They knew my daughter was in college and that I was 3 hours away and they tried to take advantage of the situation. Had they have been honest, they could have gotten the work for the new alternator which would have been over $400 dollars

Extremely professional, straight forward - I never feel like I'm getting a sales pitch for repairs I don't need.
