I came into the store today for the first time in about 10 years just to take a drive outside of KW, I can honestly say I won't be back for another 10 years.nnThe pricing of this Goodwill is atrocious, they had boutique items IE Calvin Klein jeans anything with the roots name on it starting at $19.99 going upwards of $30.nnI've been thrifting for over 30 years and I actually got angry and left the store because it didn't matter what I like turned down and what item I touched everything was overpriced by almost double compared to other stores like value village or Goodwill in KW.nnDo better Goodwill!
There is an Indian man who wears spectacles and is often seen working in the drop-off area at the rear of the building. However, I had a bad experience with him as he scratched my car badly, and he didn't even admit to it when I confronted him. So, I suggest you be careful and avoid letting him come near your car. Apart from that, the store is good.
Shout out to Steve today for his incredible customer service! He was very friendly and kind to myself and all those in front of me in line. Job well done A+++
The Guelph Goodwill has gotten ridiculously overpriced - it's gotten just as bad as Value Village, which I refuse to go to now! I go to a variety of other thrift stores including the Goodwill in Kitchener, and the pricing is like night and day. The moment they find anything that they think is remotely valuable they jack the price up to the point where you could buy it new for the same price. Because of this I hadn't been to the store in months but decided to pop in a little while ago. I was in a rush so only got a couple pictures but come on - $14.99 for a used mini muffin tray? I bought a brand new one at HomeSense just last week for $16.99 and it was a better brand. And the most laughable thing - disposable containers, the same ones that Swiss Chalet use for $4.79 for four. And what is it with Banana Republic? Guelph is the only store that increases the price on everything Banana Republic. Does someone there think that Banana Republic is all the rage these days? I've also seen some knock off hockey jerseys for ridiculously expensive prices. I may pop back in in a few months to see if things have changed and either revise my review or add more ridiculously price examples.
Its ridiculous that you cant use the wash room. My elderly mother has to go every time we go there and I'm sure alot of people do why can't they let you use it?
