The Good Morning Snore Solution worked pretty well in the beginning and I was much happier about it not hurting my jaw the way the hinged mouth pieces from other companies did. It does take a little getting used to having the pressure on your tongue, but I found I leave it next to my bed and wait a bit until I am drowsy, then I don't get distracted from sleep when I put it in my mouth. However, you do run the risk of falling completely asleep without putting it in. My complaints are: First - PRICE. What in that small piece of plastic can cost $100?? Second - why does in loose suction and become less effective fairly quickly. My husband says I still snore some EVERY night but some nights are better than others. I think it is better when I get more suction on my tongue so it holds it in place better the whole night. I have been very tempted to try some newer knock offs that also hold the tongue instead of pushing the lower jaw forward. There are several that are MUCH cheaper, but I can't find very many reviews on them yet. I did buy 2 of the Snore Solutions the last time I purchased because at least the 2nd one was a reasonable price at $30 more than just buying one. Maybe by the time I need a new one, you will have lowered your price or one of the other companies will have more reviews about their products. Still wish I could find something that works ALL THE TIME and doesn't annoy my mouth if I wear it every night. I still spend at least one night on the couch every week. Have also been looking at tongue/throat exercises to try to strengthen the muscles in your throat that are relaxing in sleep. Until I started snoring, I only thought you could snore on your back and when you breathed through your mouth and I don't do either!
I tried several anti snoring devices over the years, but nothing worked - OR - i couldn't sleep with it in my mouth. I even consulted a doctor to consider surgery until I finally stumbled upon the Good Morning Snore solution. To be 100% honest, the first one I got really bothered my gums, but my fiance told me i wasn't snoring, so I kept wearing it. I ordered another one after about a month and it didn't bother my gums at all. I have now been using it for over a year, and I can tell you, I sleep better with it than without it. I actually wake myself up snoring if I don't wear it. The only negative is, like every other mouth piece, it makes you drool. No bid deal, considering it allows me and my fiance to sleep in the same bed. I would 100% recommend you try this if you snore. Give it two months to get used to it and you'll be happy with it.
I have been using this device for several months. It needed some trimming to fit comfortably without irritating my gums but once I got it to fit properly it has been very helpful. It does not totally eliminate my snoring but definitely helps and I awake feeling more rested than without it. I do sometimes remove it without waking up but this happens less and less and if I try to sleep without it I actually wake myself up with my own snoring as before. It does keep the tongue forward in the mouth so it doesn't relax back and close the airway. I do still experience a slight sore throat in the morning as there continues to be some snoring. I would recommend this product.
For the first couple of nights I tried to use the device, it wasn't working well for me, so much that I thought it couldn't improve that much to make it work for me. However, I hung in and found it was my fault, for the most part. I was really trying to follow the instructions for putting the device in the mouth far too precisely. I found that if I relaxed and used my tongue as a guide only to place in in the center, behind my lips, applied suction it became suddenly, it became instantaneously far more comfortable. My tongue's tip often only barely touches the center hole of the pacifier that's what is resembles. FANTASTIC device!!! I actually use it now even when I'm sleeping alone because I think it helps me get a better night's sleep. Sometimes when I wake in the morning, I'm walking to the bathroom before I realize it's still in my mouth, so it's become quite comfortable to wear. Giving it a 4 star rating because it's expensive.
I, first, tried another device recommended to me by my sleep doctor. It didn't work very well and was uncomfortable, but I figured out the problem with it not working was that my tongue was sliding back after I would fall asleep, blocking my airway. The other device's purpose was to keep the lower jaw forward. I found this online through a review, and it has greatly helped me since. Sometimes I'll wake up and find that it has fallen out of my mouth, but I just put it back in. It's made a world of difference in my sleep quality and snoring. Also, I no longer wake up with headaches. It's been a great purchase.
My husband and I give this little device a five star rating. We were not even able to sleep together because of his snoring, plus he did the sleep apnea thing. It took about a week for him to get used to it, but it works unbelievably well. He's a back sleeper, too! He also doesn't stop breathing anymore. I am sleeping much better now......no problems. We highly recommend the Good Morning Snore Solution. I think you will be shocked with how well it works.
I purchased your device a few months ago and I had a lot of difficulty getting used to it.I had trouble with saliva dribbling out of my mouth but I followed your companies suggestion and made holes with a punch in the side wings of the device without damaging the center piece. I persisted and now sleep with it every night and find that I feel good after sleeping a full night with the device in my mouth. It still is not completely comfortable, especially on my gums but today, I would definitely suggest to other snores that they should give this device a try. I have also stopped snoring.
This has worked pretty well for me. It does seem to stop my snoring, as long as it's in my mouth correctly. A small problem is that my tongue sometimes manages to free itself while I'm asleep. When I first got it, I used it for about 2 weeks straight, and then stopped when a corner of my gum line had gotten pretty sore and irritated. Oddly enough, i didn't snore much after that and I feel like maybe the exercise had trained me a bit to keep my tongue forward in my mouth! Occasionally now, when I'm not using it, my wife will wake me to say I'm snoring and i pop it in and it does the trick. Overall, for the ease and simplicity and basic effectiveness, I think this is a really nice solution.
Yes, it does work! In the past I used plastic mouth guards and they worked very well too but after a couple of years I found that my teeth began to move, so much so that my dentist had to put a brace on my lower front teeth to secure them. That was extremely uncomfortable; it was expensive, I lisped and I spat and couldn't stop myself licking the brace all the time, so my tongue got very sore. Then I discovered the Good Morning Snore Solution. Admittedly, it took a long time to get used to it but I persevered by adjusting the amount of suction necessary, which made it less uncomfortable. Now, it is fine, although admittedly, I would have preferred not having to use anything at all! But the important thing is that I actually sleep now and no longer wake myself from snoring, as I used to do. My dentist took that hateful brace away and my teeth stabilized after a while. This solution is so simple and so very effective!
The price did make me think before this purchase but now my partner would happily pay as this really does work, I think you have to be aware what is making you snore, if it is your tongue falling back into your throat then this will help. It is easy to clean and comfortable to use, you get used to it pretty quickly. It would be good if this came with a container to store, the price could surely cover this. My dog took a liking to it and gave it a chew, I'm now using a repaired one which isn't ideal.
