I have been going to this place since I was a kid, the previous owners were family friends. Since ownership changed I continued to order from there. I’ve been a long time supporter. A few nights ago my family placed an order for delivery, we repeated our order more than once and made sure to spell out the address. We were told it would take 45 minutes and an 1.5 hours later it arrived… understandable considering the weather and the delivery driver was very nice! However once we opened the bag we realized we were missing one of our items. I looked at the receipt and noticed we had not been charged for it either but it was the one item my child wanted to eat. I called and mentioned what had happened and asked if I could have the missing item sent out as it was my daughters dinner. I told them I had not been charged there had just been a mistake when taking the order and was more than willing to pay for the item. I was rudely told over and over again while not being able to get a word in that “it’s my fault I didn’t order it” When I tried to explain things I was called a liar and told if I wanted the item I’d have to wait another hour and a half and pay not only for the item but an additional $5 for the delivery. At this point I had been name called and shouted at by their employee so I asked to speak with a manager, I was told the manager only works one day a week and they were not there. Then I was put on hold and the same lady came back stating she WAS the manager. She called me a liar again and that was when I said they had lost a long time customer and if their staff doesn’t learn to treat people with respect they will continue to lose them. I will never return after the way I was spoken to. It started out as a simple mistake, and ended in me, the customer being yelled at and name called by their staff.
I had dinner here as a group of 10 and the food was delicious! Everything came out quickly and in large portions. We had so many leftovers. I would recommend the bbq pork. They make it in house and as a person who has eaten it from many places in Edmonton and area, I can say that it was sooo good. Perfectly moist.
Holy smokes. Went here the other night. Amazing sized portions and the lemon chicken was the best I’ve ever had in my 35 years. I am not big on seafood but I know the difference between shrimp sizes and taste and they were massive in the chow mein. Will be most definitely be bringing my parents here when they come back from Mexico , they winter in mazatlan partly because they love shrimp so much, and I can’t wait for them to try it. So so yum. I also loved the sweet and sour pork and the beef dishes. Everything was actually great. Parking: Tons of easy access parking.
Best Ginger beef of life. Spicy, flavorful, lots of sauce, don't think twice, just go ahead and order it. Their other dishes were pretty flavorful as well; we had this pepper steak dish that was served cold but was heavenly, chicken balls which weren't too doughy like other places. I know they are closed now but I've already decided what I want on my next visit there: 2 orders of ginger beef! Note: you can order delivery via doordash only
Individual meals would feed 3 people. Huge portions and great tasting. Best ginger beef!!! Pork spring rolls so good and delicious sauce! Staff so friendly !!!
Our first time that we have been to Golden Capital. We ordered delivery it arrived way before we were told it would arrive. The food was excellent! We will definitely be back.
Very friendly staff. We have had take out and dined in, not expensive, more than enough food, and taste great.
We had a large order delivered last night and were quite disappointed. The egg rolls and chicken balls were so thick and hard that you could hardly cut them. The chicken fried rice wasn't fried at all. It just looked like steamed rice with bits of chicken, etc. in it. Also the food was all cold. On the positive side, the food came quite quickly and the delivery man was very nice.
The food here was beyond delicious. The portions are very large and the service was second to none. The chef brought out some fresh BBQ pork, for a free tester, by far the best I’ve ever had.
Ordered dinner for my family of 4 and was ok but does not reflect what you pay for. They show you a bill for $98.00 dollars and then show you a discount to $85.00 . The beef chop suey was not a dish that had fresh broccoli or carrots in it but rather some chunks of beef loaded up with a lots of bean sprouts. Didn’t taste bad but just made the dish look cheap. Lots of onions in there dishes to that taste pretty raw and not cooked. My suggestion is more fresh vegetables less bean sprouts.
