Absolutely delicious Ethiopian food, friendly and helpful staff. Their d'Oro Wat and Qeye Wat sorry if my spelling is incorrect, I am going off of memory for this one were very very good, and spicy. Their Yebeg Tibs is an easy choice if this is new food for you, and also quite delicious even if you have had Ethiopian food before. Be warned that if the menu says "rare" it will likely be raw safe and quite tasty if you can come to terms with the unusual texture. Vegetarian options: Vegatarian options are available in the menu. Parking: Parking is available on the street, or a nearby street if you don't mind a short walk.
Tasty! Order a couple items and share. Quite filling. Friendly staff. Good flavors.
Haven't been to an Ethiopian restaurant in a while and Gohe was a pleasant experience. Came with a couple friends that never tried Ethiopian food before and they all enjoyed it as much as I did. I enjoyed all the food we ordered, nothing was below expectation and everything reminded me of Ethiopia.
I've grown to love this place, coming back multiple times and bringing many of my friends. The veggie samosas are one of the best items in the city, flavorful and spicy, with a fresh sauce that is unlike anything I've tried before, with the quick kick of horseradish and the freshness of green herbs. The vegetarian combo is inexpensive but filling, and is a wonderful social experience with tons of different flavours. You can feed 2 people for under $25 which is very rare for a restaurant. Service can be a little bit slow, so plan for a little bit of a longer dining experience. However, it's worth it! The location is cozy, the employees are friendly, and the food is great.
I got the veggie platter and my boyfriend got the shifinfin. My veggie platter was great and I loved the spinach dish and the injera. We had no idea what shifinfin was and the menu didn't really describe it for us, so I do kind of wish we knew what it was lol. Regardless it was quite good, the shifinfin was a little too sour for my boyfriend when combined with the injera but he still ate it. Giant portions, we both had lots to take home. Will definitely come again.
Amazing. Went here with a group of 8 and told them just to make enough for everyone with veggie and meat platters. All the dishes were outstanding! Many different flavours, textures, and heat levels. Highly recommend the bean dish. Price was around $15 each before drinks and tip. This is a steal considering we got to try around 10 different dishes together with as much injera as we could handle. We definitely couldn't finish everything. This experience was so much fun as a group. Will be back for sure.
Walking in we were impressed. We had high hopes for this restaurant. I will say they have one of the nicest dining rooms out of the Ethiopian restaurants that I have been to. We have been trying all of them in the city. I was disappointed by the portion sizes. I read elsewhere that they were very large, but every other Ethiopian restaurant we have been to had larger portions by a lot. Normally my friend and I order and we its way more than we can finish. This one left us hungry. There were 3 of us, but that shouldn't have affected it as we had 2 orders of meat combination and one vegetarian combo. We ended up ordering one more dish the lamb chacha. I will say the lamb was cooked very nicely. This gets a 3 star, mainly because the other restaurants I have been to have much better value but equally good food. This would not end up being my first pick because of that. I was confused though, and wondered if we were given less, because we looked at other tables and they looked to be about the same for 2 people as we got for 3. It is possible that for some reason our portions weren't proper, and if that is the case then I'd elevate this to a 4, but from this visit I'm not likely to go back soon. The food itself was fine. It wasn't as in your face flavor as some other places, but it was a nice balance. The main meal was fine but the lamb did stand out compared to the combination platter. Service was friendly, but brief. Communication kept to a minimum.
We had veggie combo and chicken tiki. So hearty and delicious! I just find the veggies on Injera are a-bit dry. You definitely gotta check this place out. Thumbs up
Awesomely amazing Ethiopian food. Lamb and Injera with Ethiopian cup of coffee Waoo. The environment is so awesome, music is amazing. Customer service is great but not what I would have liked to see from this place because of that I give them a 4 stars.
A wonderful modern setting with large portions of Ethiopian food at affordable prices. As other reviews have mentioned, there is generally only one server. I went at 05:00 PM and was the only customer however by 06:00 PM the place was filling up and service slowed down as a result. The food is great, the service is friendly, and the prices are good. There is something to satisfy all palettes and diets.
