We recently had our son's baptism at the Golf course banquet room. It was better than I ever imagined it would be. The food was outstanding. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We had about 100 people there and it was so much fun. They allowed us to bring our own decor and encouraged us to make the event as personal as possible. We had a photographer so I will add more photos when i have them. It was such a nice location for children as well.
Amazing public course. Maintained better than most higher-end courses and definitely worth the experience and the cost!
Played the course Wednesday and it was a 5 hour round due to "cartpath only" even though the ground was mostly dry. Always liked the course but will never go back due to the moronic decisions by management.
Very well kept. Fun and interesting hole designs. Challenging but fair. Good pace of play 4hr 5 min on a Sunday late morning and management that cares. All around great experience.
Great course. The Superintendent and his crew do a great job.
Really boring course, it seems like every hole is the same thing. They also can't mow the rough because of some pollination thing. Highly recommend not coming here until it gets mowed. It is insane losing balls even when you see exactly where they land.
Love the course…BUT the rough just off the fairway is 8” tall. This isn’t a US Open course. Needs a first cut like most courses have. It Slows play and sometimes you can’t find your ball even one foot off the fairway. Because of fertilizer and watering of the fairway the 8” of rough is 10-20 feet wide off the fairway, so you are better off being farther off in the rough where it’s a normal 2-3 inches. yes I know hit the fairway and you wont have this problem…easy for you to say. Update...they cut the rough, now only 6" tall. Still cant find golf balls, fairways need a first cut
Perfect for families and novice golfer. Beautiful public golf course with a private feel in Glenview, Il and its super it's in The Glen. They have a beautiful Golf course banquet room with great food and amazing service. I highly recommend!
Great outing today. Bag drop upon arrival, tagged and took bags to cart. 4 stars as previous years the lunch was a cookout. Today was sandwiches otherwise a 5. Course in great shape. 1 cart needed to be replaced as batteries were sluggish but once staff notified it took only 1/2 half a hole to replace cart with working one. Wished they had signs at tee box showing hole layout and distances.
They need to advertise that they close at 7pm. We booked a 5pm tee time on GolfNow thinking we’d be able to get 14 or 15 holes in, but were kicked off after 9. Dusk is 8:10pm, we could have easily played 4 or 5 more holes before dark. That’s bs
