I was admitted here to get rehab treatment and the staff were great especially the therapists: occupational and physio, they are very compassionate and caring. The nurses were kind, The porters were great especially with getting the patients to appointments on time. The doctors are very kind and professional too. Overall this is a great facility with excellent services and staff. Kudos to Kerry, Kaylee, Nurse Diyah, Matt, Eric, Shashi, and Rob for excellent service! except for a few who had personal issues and brought them to work unfortunately but most of them were good and kind. The porters were great at what they do rendering excellent service
After traumatic spinal surgery my husband and I were concerned about my future and ours, together. Fortunately I was assigned to the Glenrose where I met the most caring, supportive and reassuring contingent of health care professionals, imaginable. I was visited daily by the doctors, physio/occupational therapists as well as the social worker, recreation and psychological teams. To name all of the health care group would mean I could omit someone. So to all of those on 3B - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless each and everyone of you.
I have a love hate with this space as when my mother suffered a stroke and at the hospital she was denied entry to the Glenrose. They would come unannounced and look at patients- i was told by nurses that they want people and out quickly so they look like they are tops in their field- anyone needing more rehab time is denied. My parents option was a town away from their city which my father would not be able to get to. Cut to endless changes made to bring her home only to have Glenrose reach out after many calls from family and referrals from doctors she was seen in endless appointments as an outpatient a year after. The staff has been great but I always think how her rehab would have been if she was admitted and helped right after her release from hospital. She is currently in a wheelchair not walking.
Have been stuck in 4A with some nurses great, physio staff great, other nurses that should go back to school. The doctors are absolute trash and never come see the patient. About to demsnd to be transferred to a hospital that actually has professional doctors. Avoid this place at all costs.
I got excellent care at Glenrose Rehabilitation hospital. Physio was fantastic, staffing was wonderful, Nurses were helpful and supportive. Thankyou for taking good care of me. God bless each and one of you. Stay safe
The entire staff here are friendly, supportive and professional. The facilities to here are first class. They have a library, cafeteria, on site shop in my tv lounges and wonderful physio rooms. I especially enjoyed the twice daily physio sessions and the freedom once independent to go all over the hospital and even outside. A huge thank you to the wonderful nurses on 4NT and to Jess, JM and Mel who encouraged me to work hard every day at physio. I am so grateful
Excellent facility. I found the staff at Glenrose hospital the Drs. Physiotherapists , nurses and all other staff on unit 4B to be very friendly. I felt like I was at home. This was a welcome change for me because I had been very sick at the UofA hospital. The rehabilitation at Glenrose hospital provided me with a totally different experience as the staff helped me with my recovery. Greatly appreciated!
After my ex husband suffered a heart attack, the Glenrose offered free counselling for the family after a heart event. There was a sweet lady named “Mary” who was counselling the both of us. She had noticed things a little off balanced. So wanted to chat with us separately. I had my “aha” moment in the next few weeks. Not realizing that I was in a toxic, abusive marriage, with an alcoholic, Mary gave me some advice on what I need to do to prepare for the future. In the end, I was able to get out and divorce him 7yrs later. I’m still healing, but wanted to thank Mary for giving me my life back. I’ll never forget her. I’ve since found out she has retired ….. Thankyou so much
My six week stay at the Glenrose was a truly positive experience. I was involved in a vehicle accident and the care and treatment I received was exemplary. The staff were so caring and competent, I felt I was among friends. The staff at both physio and OT were awesome, they worked you hard to prepare you for a normal life. The facility itself is a five star complex. from the rehabilitation equipment to the meals and dinning room. We are truly fortunate to have such a hospital in Alberta. Jane Hagell
Jackie did our newborn hearing test and we just vibed! She was so personable, efficient and professional. Really put me at ease and wanted to give her a shout out for doing an amazing job!
