Brittany was great! Sat at the bar during happy hour, they were packed. She took good care of me. Got the onion soup which was excellent, beers were a good deal. It's a bit too noisy and crowded for my liking, but otherwise seems like a very cool place. 2 separate areas, one is more of a "bar" feel, the main one is more of a pub/restaurant. Huge deck out back. Happy hour is apparently always very busy!
Great pub! Friendly bartender owner. We played cornhole on back deck then moved in for some games of pool. This pub is friendly and fun. The outdoor deck has many tables to sit at and the setting is lovely with woods. Owner came and visited with us. Lots of great music was playing. We were staying at the motel close by to this pub with a big wedding party. We all walked over and had a ball. We would return. Thanks for the fun atmosphere and friendliness.
Kind of empty for a Thursday night, but still okay. The bartender did a great job. They decided to close out a section of the bar and started cleaning and such, made me feel a bit unwelcome. My wedge salad was great!!
While the place is a little "rough around the edges" in decor and atmosphere, our Bartender/Server, JAMES was the bright light to the visit to Gipper's. Our appetizer, cheese curds were wonderful and our drinks were served quickly and with a smile. James might just be the only reason I would return, as everything else was just OK, but He made an ordinary stop a pleasant one...
Hadn't been there in years. We were in the area, so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and Oberon since it just tapped the day before. It wasn't busy 7 p.m., so we grabbed a couple of seats at the rail. After 10 minutes of being ignored, she finally asked what she could get us to drink. Never said I'll be with you in a minute or anything, she was about 6 feet away. At first, she seemed busy. Another guy that was bartending/serving that made several comments about being hyped up on cold medicine, and he ignored us, too, while socializing with the regulars. Eventually there were 5 employees behind the bar. We had to ask for menus. Decided what we wanted and slid the menus forward. Another 20 minutes went by, and I had to ask for our check because clearly we weren't going to be waited on. I have been in the restaurant & bar industry for years and never stiffed a server-until that night. Trivia was entertaining and the beer was good. Do better guys!!
My husband, brother-in-law, and I have been to Gippers several times now and have loved every visit. Bartenders like Chandra and James treat us well, are always smiling and willing to share a story, and make the experience wonderful. The food is yummy, the drinks are very reasonably priced, and we're grateful for the amazing service.
A nice mix of 90s and 00s rock/alternative music all night. $2 tacos were solid, well seasoned, and hot. The three bartenders we interacted with were attentive and fun. Drinks were well made and not to pricey. RecommendedFood: 4/5
Our server, James, was an absolute delight, extremely friendly and engaging personality. I had no choice other than to leave a big tip! Also, the limited time Mediterranean chicken sandwich was delicious, I hope y'all keep it for good
Love coming here and talking to the bartenders! : Come here almost every Wednesday after work my work closes at 10pm so it’s nice having a place to go to after. Definitely come check it out if you have the chance! Super excited for when it gets warm out and can go on the patio.
The best part of my experience was by far Tim the bartender/waiter and his charisma. He made me and my group feel really welcome on our first outing to this bar. Will definitely be coming back!
