Since 1979 we have been in North Vancouver and have established our name as a family owned and operated home furnishing store specializing in quality goods for Indoor and Outdoor living spaces.

Story

Established in 1979, Ginger Jar Furniture is the North Shore’s largest showroom of fine contemporary indoor and outdoor home furnishings from around the world: Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Canada and USA.

Ginger Jar’s 20,000 square foot showroom houses galleries of great indoor manufactures such as Rolf Benz, Thayer Coggin, Gamma, Ekornes/Stressless, Calligaris, Cierre, American Leather, Bontempi, Giuseppe & Giuseppe, Jesse, Fiam Italia,BDI, and Dellarobbia. We also carry beautiful and outdoor collections from Manutti, Gloster, Tropitone, Les Jardin, Lloyd Flanders and Kettler.

OMG it’s small by Ginger Jar, our second location of 3,000 square feet, tailors to the needs of condominium owners; and presents furniture that is more space conscious. OMG it’s small, also in North Vancouver, features multifunctional collections; as well as trendy, fun accessories like Sid Dickens’ tiles and Fatboy beanbags. Bling bling pendant lighting is also abundant at OMG.

We recently shopped at Ginger Jar Furniture. Excellent furniture store with very high quality products. We fell in love with the occasional chair from Rolf Benz, amazing and stylish, but also with reasonable price! Professional team and service. I highly recommend Ginger Jar Furniture to anyone looking for high end, good quality and beautiful home furnishings!
We recently bought some chairs here, and the service was amazing. Linda B was great and took the time to show us all the different options and followed up by email when we had additional questions. She arranged for quick delivery before the holidays. The selection of European furniture is nice, and the great service really makes a difference!
I bought a Gama sofa and 2 Stressless chairs in 2013. All fabulous pieces. Now 9 years later the sofa needs a bit of work to revive the wear and tear. I contacted Ginger Jar for a referral for the work in January this year. They said they use Ambassador. I contacted them asap. I spent all of January following instructions to clean and condition said sofa in preparation. Apparently someone was retiring from Ambassador and/or they only worked with commercial entities only. Anyway, fellow said to follow instructions he emailed to me. I contacted Ambassador all via email in early February to try to arrange an appointment to come and do dying and/or whatever else needed to be done. Never heard anything for a week. After a week I called the number and fellow said he'd been so busy he never got around to it yet. Yes, I was frustrated and said so, at least he could reply to my email. I then asked him if he could recommend anybody. He implied he wouldn't trust anybody else. So I said, Are you the only game in town? He skirted around that and relayed scenarios where people hadn't been happy. I then called Ginger Jar a day or 2 later and asked them for another referral. The woman said Ambassador is the only outfit they use, would get someone to call me back. That was in 3rd week of February or thereabouts. Today is April 10th and NO ONE has called. They have nice furniture but beware of trying to maintain anything you buy there unless you're a commercial enterprise because there is NO follow-up service. Frustrated and agitated - Rose
I’m sure they’re very nice people but the curating and selection of the furniture pieces is quite random and disjointed, a little difficult to understand what lines they have and get a feel for quality. Doesn’t appeal to me so much nor I would suggest, a broad-based North American aesthetic but not sure if that is what they’re going for.
Wanted to buy an American Leather sleeper sofa, but didn't want to travel from Mission to North Van just to look at the fabric swatches I knew the model I wanted. Fahime very patiently laid out the costs for each grade of fabric by email, and then sent me pictures of the fabrics I was interested in based on the website pictures. I get that this is a high-end shop and good service is to be expected, but I was still very impressed by how helpful Fahime was. Sure hope I like what I chose without even seeing it! Will find out in 8 weeks or so...
Great selection of furniture , best quality and affordable prices . Great help from the sales team, especially Fahime . IN 10 minutes I found all I needed ,paid for it and schedule a delivery with professional furniture movers . I recommend to everyone : please visit the showroom . They have furniture for home, office , outdoors .
Very happy with all the employees who work at Ginger Jar furniture store in North Vancouver, especially for Linda Bartlett, she is so amazing, very friendly, very accommodating. I highly recommend for people who want to buy any house whole furnishing to that store first before you made the decision to buy from somewhere else.
I have purchased a couple of pieces of furniture from Ginger Jar in the past, a while ago. I had a very helpful person at the end of the line, super helpful and professional. It is nice to sill encounter such a good service!
Our new home is Ginger Jar inspired and decorated. Our go-to place for anything and everything design related. Service goes way beyond the norm and quality is top-notch, therefore, great value. Delivery and set-up included. What's not to love?
Fahime was very helpful processing my order that I made over the phone. The pieces I ordered arrived in store exactly when she said they would and the delivery was equally smooth. I look forward to shopping at Ginger Jar again !
