A nice and big Ginger Beef location in NE Calgary! Dim sum here is fantastic, great taste and depending on when you're here, there may even be some discounted options Shao mai was just $5 per order when I ate, for example. The seats were nice and comfortable, and there was some relaxing jazz music playing as well. Service was fast and friendly, and overall the experience was really great! Highly recommend this spot if you want some dim sum!
We went for both dim sum and dinner on different occasions. The dim sum is so so, the best item was the bean curd meat warp rolls and shrimp crepes. The service was terrible at lunch and not enough staff to cater to the customers.nnWe went for dinner Christmas Eve and the food was delicious! We absolutely enjoyed their chicken, lobster, sea bass, and warm fresh mochi for dessert. It was a set dinner. Highly recommend!nnFree parking, reservations is recommended for busier times
We happily went with their combo and satisfied with the food quality. Fresh, tasty, yummy.. Sure to recommend and back
They have dim sum special for $4.95 for some popular dishes, so the price was very decent.nThe Peking duck 3 course came with Peking duck, a soup and rice/noodle. Traditional peking duck is sliced relatively thin, but theirs are in chucks, so it was hard to wrap them in “pancakes”. The soup was tasteless with tons of bamboo shoots. The rice was bland. Dim sum was decent.nService… not great. I understand they are a bit understaffed, so perhaps that’s the reason.nAtmosphere - very noisy like other dim sum places, so prepare to raise your voice a bit to converse with others.
We went in the afternoon on a weekday and didn't have to wait for a table but during regular meal times and weekends I hear the waitlist can get pretty long. The food tastes great and all the classic dimsum dishes you would hope to eat is on their menu! They also have a fridge/freezer by their entrance that sells frozen pre-made dimsum dishes that you can buy. I've tries their tripe and chicken feet heated up from frozen at home and they tasted almost as good as fresh. Pretty happy with it!
