Gianna's Pies and Patties

Visited Gianna’s one early Saturday evening with a couple of friends. Didn’t have a reservation but were seated right away. Outdoor vibes were really nice. Staff was really friendly and service was great. Ordered Mozzarella sticks as an appetizer - was very yummy! We ordered the Spinach and Feta pizza 14’ and it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in the city!! Definitely recommend!

The food here is unreal! Long time pizza fan, new to Detroit style but what's not to love about a focaccia style pizza?! Look at those cheesy corners?! Whos idea was this?! Make sure you get a side of hot honey, try some wings and bring a friend because the portion sizes are generous. Also the back patio is a good time. Compliments to the chef!!

My partner and I came here last summer for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The pizza was one of the best I have had in a while, not to mention the AMAZING wine they suggested as a paring! It was overall an amazing experience.

I've been in Parkdale for about a year now, and visited Gianna's a few times : there are a few reasons why you'll keep coming back for their cheese pizza. Their crunchy, cheesy crust, combined with fresh herbs, and yummy sauce kind of reminds me of a pizza place called Camera's I used to go to as a child. I miss the flavour so much, this is probably the closest thing I've had in a while! On top of that, the staff is really nice, great atmosphere, they have deals depending on time of day etc, and they give back to the community!

Fantastic food, outstanding service and a chill atmosphere. I've gone a couple of times, so I've tried the chicken and pesto pizza DEE-LISH!, the mediterranean is outstanding and the Hawaiian which I normally am not a fan of was super yummy. They were also extremely safe and hygienic given the ongoing pandemic restrictions. Highly recommended for the patio and the take-out experience.

3.66 Stars— even though a little voice in me says bump it to 3.75. That cheese burger really slapped, but the detroit style pizza is too bready for me— and it’s really just that, if you don’t have an issue with super bready pizza, then I might say this may be a must-try for you— but they’re closing anyway so too bad for you. Goodbye, Gianna’s.

Popped in here with a group of 4 on a Friday night and were seated right away to enjoy $5 dark & stormy's and incredible detroit style pizza. Great service and tons of seating here.

A cheese deep-dish pizza isn’t too complex, but they couldn’t manage it. Perhaps they use Campbell’s tomato soup and Kraft Parmesan cheese from the green shaker in Detroit - I don’t really know. If that’s Detroit-style deep-dish, they nailed it! Either way - that’s exactly what it tasted like. $30 buys a LOT of Campbell’s condensed tomato soup and cheap grocery-aisle-shelf Parmesan; and neither of those things pretends to be delicious the way Gianna’s does. I won’t be going back.
