Pretty good food here. I haven't eaten a lot of Greek or Mediterranean cuisines to comment about the authenticity but their seasoning and food quality is not disappointed. The greek salad is fresh and the dressing is quite thick but they go along well. I like the chicken skewer and side potatoes. However, the rice is a little bit dry and I'm not a fan of tzatziki sauce should have chosen 3g sauce instead.
One of my friends had told me about this place so I decided to order this Greek chicken salad last night on SkipTheDishes. Needless to say, I do not regret it at all. This spot is very generous with portions and considerably cheap. Additionally, the quality of the ingredients are very fresh. My salad was delicious and extremely filling - I will definitely be returning. :-
This great little spot is on the corner of Bloor and Mississauga Valley Blvd. I only ever have the 3 G Burger but it’s incredible. The give you a sample of Butternut Squash soup while you wait. It’s a great place
I've had George's Greek Grill at least 6-7 times. It's the closest Greek food to my house, and it's right next to my doctor's office, so it's convenient. The food is usually fairly good, but not consistently. So, let's talk details, shall we? The first time I had food here, I was impressed, with both the food and customer service. They offered me a sample of butternut squash and it was delicious! I appreciated the gesture, first and foremost, but it was also a good sign of things to come. The pork souvlaki was great. I quickly recommended the place to my parents, friends, brother, and fiance. My brother tried the burger and reported back that it was a little dry. The same could be said about the gyros my fiance had, very tough. My parents found the potatoes to be incredibly salty. I was unscathed, chalked their experiences up to off days, afterall no restaurant is without some mistakes on occasion. However, in my visits back over time, I can attest to the fact that the food is inconsistent. Heres a little more information on that: The souvlaki sticks are consistently great. I especially like that they include some bell peppers and onions on their skewers, I don't know any other place that does this. The 3G sauce is phenomenal. It would be good on literally anything. The potatoes are sometimes good, but more often that not they're too salty. When they're salty, it's far and away the saltiest potatoes I've ever had, anywhere. The biggest issue? The rice. Probably half the times I've had George's, there are very hard/borderline inedible rice grains mixed in with perfectly fine ones. My hypothesis is that it's an old batch of rice mixed with a fresh batch. I'll include a picture of this, as well as what the rice looks like when it's good, so you can compare for yourself. Notice the darker/golden grains, those are rock solid. So, why the 1 star? I'd give the food alone 2-3 / 5. However, after reading George's responses to valid criticism here on his reviews, it's an easy 1 star. I won't be returning. The condescending tone he takes with his customers is unacceptable; being that defensive and rude is absolutely uncalled for, especially belittling people's palates, and telling them to dine elsewhere/not come back. You got it, George. I'll be taking my business to Colossus, I'd highly recommend anyone reading this do the same.
More of a takeout spot not a lot of seating bit my husband and I dined in on the dinner for 2, 2 Wraps, a side salad, and potatoes. Great value for really great quality greek food, and they accommodated a lactose allergy with their 3g sauce. Also kindly gave us some butternut squash soup to try while waiting which is definitely worth ordering on its own. Excellent food.
Great family owned restaurant where many of the ingredients are home made! Chicken Souvlaki with Greek salad was so delicious. The Greek Poutine was outstanding!!! Highly recommended!!!!
6 stars! Food was incredible, and huge portions. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely reccomend stopping by :
Food are good portions and always yummy. Fresh and flavourful! Parking: Plaza parking
Good food. But the workers that were cooking food in the kitchen were not wearing masks. I ordered 3 things and waited for a long time, but it was was kind of worth the wait because it was really good. The prices are a a little expensive. The portions were good. I have mixed feelings about this place now because I can compare it from before, since I have been here over 10 times. But overall, good food that tastes good. Down below I have posted photos of the actual place, and I have put pictures of the menu.
Not the best gyros I had. And that is a generous description. Lamb was dry and clearly was reheated leftover from previous days. Other than lattice and tomato there was nothing else on it: no feta, no peppers, no onions. Just edible. Overrated and inflated ratings on Google.
