I had to set up an account for an estate and had been having difficulty with other local banks and Credit Unions. I had the pleasure today of working with a young lady named Sonji; who knew exactly what I needed. Her knowledge and professionalism was top notch, she was very efficient and helpful and had me on my way in no time. My situation was not a normal one and she made it extremely easy and smooth. Thank you for your excellent service.
The worst!!! Never had a bank or organization treat me so bad. Opened an account prior to COVID. I had some savings in the account but didn't use it. During the pandemic they started charging inactivity fees, They never contacted me to let me know, just started and continued to take my savings until it was gone. UPDATE; My initial call to the Credit Union, I had a rep who may not have understood the situation. I did receive a call back and the situation was explained to me. It is not CU policy to charge fees until account is emptied, but they were unable to contact me when fees where being charged. In the end , I spoke with a concerned and understanding representative I think from the Grand Blanc branch who was able to correct the problem and I was able to stop in at the very nice and friendly Clio branch to withdraw all of my money.
We applied for a loan through Genisys CU and living in Gladwin now, they made it SUPER easy to sign papers by letting us sign the documents via email. It was so easy and we didn't have to drive down there. Thank you so much Karen. We owe you!!
I am so disappointed. I attempted to call Grand Blanc and Pontiac only to be informed that they would call me back. Both recorded messages recommended that I go on line and visit the on line internet question and answer service. While I am totally capable of doing that it would be nice to speak with a person. So much for personal service. Sad!
The customer service at this branch is exceptional! Everyone on the teller line is very professional and personable. I needed old account statements and Yvonne took care of it promptly. She had told me that I could pick them up at the end of the day, but then called me within an hour and had already completed the task! Yvonne was efficient, professional, and kind! This branch truly makes you feel like family! I highly recommend Genisys Credit Union if you are interested in opening a new account!
I’ve been with Genisys almost 10 years, they always took care of me and I always took care of them. Up until recently anyways.. because of a poor experience trying to close on a loan, I found out Genisys has been charging me twice the interest rate that my credit score qualifies me for! I literally asked them weeks ago if I would qualify to refinance because my credit score has went up and they either told me no, or that it would actually increase. Another credit union took every single loan I had for HALF the interest rate Genisys has been charging me, cutting 1-2 years off the loan for the same or less of a payment. I’m sure this is happening to other Genisys members as well, we blindly go back and get taken advantage of. I will be closing my accounts this summer, I clearly see members are not actually valued by this credit union. I’ve already told my friends and family about this and they’ve also found Genisys is doing the same to them too! So they’re also moving. They didn’t used to be like this, but it’s extremely disappointing to discover after almost 10 years.
Genisys Credit Union has always taken care of my every need and it has been a pleasure doing business with them.
Stopped at the Grand Blanc office today to update some information on our accounts. Sonja Teer helped us, she was very knowledgeable about what we needed done. Thank you Sonja for your excellent service. It was a pleasure working with you.
Genisys Credit Union has been a pleasure to work with while purchasing a vehicle. But hands down Karen Gray went above and beyond working with me, she made my dream come true! Always quick to respond to any questions or changes. Explained everything thoroughly. Huge thank you to Karen!
