Very disappointing. My family and I were excited to see the Geiser Grand until we walked through the doors and were rudely greeted by the staff. We went out of our way to see it, having been told that it's a beautiful old hotel. The staff told us to leave after just stepping through the doors. We were looking for a place to eat and may have eaten at their restaurant, however after that we took our business of 11 people elsewhere. Incredibly rude, don't bother to visit. There's plenty else to see in this area. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center was lovely and the people there were incredibly friendly. It took 5 seconds for us to decide the hotel had nothing to offer us, don't waste your time there.

The owner of the hotel is an absolutely horrible person. That's not a phrase I use lightly, but there's really no other way to describe her. I left my purse in their restaurant, and when I called to ask if they had found it she was incredibly rude, and refused to ask the waitress (less than 20 feet away) or check in the lost and found for it. When I arrived to pick it up, she continued to be unbelievably rude, condescending, and unhelpful, refusing to get my purse from the lost and found and saying "I don't think you're understanding. Do you speak English?" In the end I asked the waitress to get my purse from the lost and found, which she happily did. I feel so bad for the poor girl for having to work for this woman. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE BEING TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING!

Yeah, it's a neat place and loaded with history, but Breakfast was overly expensive for the undersized portions, in my opinion. I know restaurants in general are expensive now due to Oregon minimum wage, but food costs haven't changed as fast, and we all know potatoes are cheap. So if you're going to charge me $11 for a standard bacon/eggs/potatoes/toast breakfast then put out at least a decent sized serving of potatoes.
