Great friendly staff that know what they're doing and get it done in a timely professional manner.
As a woman, I'm always hesitant to go to auto/tire shops by myself as I'm usually treated less than or taken advantage of. Not only was I taken care of, I was listened to and offered advice by the gentlemen who were helping me. I wish I remember their names, but will definitely come here again when I need my tires replaced.
We've used GCR for years for all of our fleet tires and personal tires. These guys are awesome, almost always have what we need in stock, and have great front sales staff with excellent shop guys.Service: Tires
This place is top notch. I am a first time travel trailer owner and was very nervous coming in and having to back into one of the bays. Shane was awesome and told me he’d take care of it no problem. He backed her right in and my anxiety level dropped significantly. Also didn’t try and BS me about which tires needed replaced. Prompt service too. This is the only place I am coming from now on.
This place is the go to place for tires in Anchorage. The best prices and good quality tires. Been coming here since long ago when I was a mechanic. Only downside is 1no appointments. 2took all day to get my truck done and back. Luckily it was a Saturday and I didn't need my truck.
Got my tires changed and balanced. Went back because of shaking in the steering wheel no shaking before and they re-balanced the tires. On my way to fairbanks two days later my steering wheel is shaking worse than before and I’m spending another $60 to get my tires balanced correctly in Wasilla. On a more positive note GCR was fast and the customer service was great. The customer service is terrible in Wasilla but maybe they’ll balance my tires right the first time....
I like getting my tire work done there. And the Brand's of tires they have to offer for my Rig including the heavy lugged Recaps I Run on the drive axles. And best of all they don't try to blow smoke up my 6 they have always been straight up with me and no surprise heart attach when my Truck is ready.
Very disappointed - I've been here before and have had friends that have gone here and have had great experiences. This time around I had a terrible experience - if I could give 0 stars I would. I take my car to the shop because they are professional they know what is the right/best thing to do. Little did I know you have to change all 4 tires at once on an AWD vehicle which I have at the time I could only afford 2 tires - which I stated up front I only need 2 tires. They asked tires size, car make and model etc .... quoted me and i took my vehicle the next day to get the tires put on. First visit went fine. I planned on going back shortly after to get the other 2 tires. I called them a little while later to inquire about the other 2 tires - they only had 1 tire left in stock. So I attempted to call around to find 2 other tires - THAT'S when I find out that they should have changed all 4 tires at once. No one would sell me 2 tires for an AWD vehicle. I called GCR back to ask why/how this happen and how can they fix this - they were EXTREMELY rude, didn't apologize once and made me seem like the problem. I went into the store and the guy says to me "don't start with me I've had a bad day and I don't want to get short with you" EXCUSE ME?! I am the customer which you KNOWINGLY did the wrong thing but installing only 2 tires at once on my AWD vehicle. I ended up having to buy 4 new tires from a different shop and bring back the 2 tires to be reimburse. When I returned the tires today the guy was again EXTREMELY rude - and also didn't reimburse me for the labor. I do not recommend anyone to go to this place. they don't do the correct thing for you or your vehicle they just want your money. The customer service is the worst I have encountered and I am shocked there wasn't an apology.
I ordered 4 new cooper tires for my truck. GCR told me I would have them in two weeks. Four weeks rolls around and I call them back to get a status of my tires. They tell me the tires are waiting on a boat to bring them to Alaska. OK. Its AK, that happens. Two more weeks goes by and I call them back again. Now they tell me Cooper never put them on the truck from their warehouse in Findlay, Ohio. OK, when I ask them how they are going to solve the problem they say nothing. The manager told me he would call me back in five minuntes...never called me back. I had to call him back and then he gave me some song and dance about how he can only communicate via email and he's waiting on his distributor to ascertain what happened. The manage r said he would call me back the next day and update me. Still waiting...
