Well thought out menu with something for everyone. Great variety, and portions are generous. Service is extremely attentive and friendly. If you'd like the option of ordering from either the lunch or dinner menu, book your reservation for 3:45pm lunch items must be put into the system before 4:00 p.m., dinner items can be punched in after 4:00 p.m.. Will definitely be returning in the future.
I’m conflicted. On one hand the food was delicious and the atmosphere is nice. However the portions are on the smaller side for the price. My husband and I shared 2 of the featured small plates. $22 for arctic char I know it is not a common menu item but it was smaller than we thought it would be for the price $15 for some beets. We also shared 2 mains - the fettuccine and the pork tenderloin. The fettuccini was amazing. I was very slightly underwhelmed by the pork tenderloin though. We then shared the special earl grey crème brûlée. That was amazing. We also had a tea each with dessert. For an almost $175 dinner date, I don’t think it was quite worth it. Even though the food was great, we walked away not full. I don’t know if we would come back. Not for a meal anyway. Maybe just a treat….
We luckily got in on a busy night. Only waited 15 mins without reservation. Good service! The food was amazing, and cocktails were also spectacular! Prices were reasonable for what you get. We will definitely come back!
Went for impromptu cocktails after a lovely walk through of the Leaf. We were seated right away at the bar as requested. Service was exceptional and attentive. Cocktail list highlights local craft spirit Patent 5 which is fabulous as well as rotating local selection of draught beer. Wine list was EXTENSIVE with option of half bottles, glass or full bottle. I will be back for eats as the menu both lunch and supper looked delicious. I would suggest making a reso as it was quite busy.
"I recently visited a restaurant in Winepeg and was blown away by the delicious cuisine and the beautiful botanical garden. From start to finish, the experience was simply divine. The food was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I especially loved the menu and the specific wine. The service was also outstanding - the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and the botanical garden is a true gem."
We went to this place today for lunch and I'd give this place 4.5 stars. We are out of towners and this place was heavily recommended so we went in with high expectations. Our server, Brynn, was knowledgeable, friendly, and we loved her recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed the grilled kale salad and the brussels sprouts. The kale salad had smokiness and crunch that you don't find anywhere. We are going to attempt to recreate this at home We also had the grilled arctic char, peppercorn pan bread, the duck fries/poutine and the peach corn cake. We came away stuffed. I think you need to order and share multiple dishes in this place for their lunch service. I imagine you could come away yearning for more food if you just get a main and a small plate for yourself.
We were a walk up party of four on a Thursday night. We toured the leaf and when we were done our table was ready. The Gather has a really nice ambiance. The service was really good, our server was very personable. We shared a couple of small plates and they were good. The price point seemed a little high for what we received. They do a really good job with presentation. It was a good experience, but we will not go out of our way to go back based on price point.
Fabulous food that was beautifully presented on the plate and were great portion sizes. We got all our food surprisingly fast. Waitress was very attentive. Very calm environment with beautiful, new decor. Well worth the money spent!
Nice cold drinks - the beer anyway. My wife was not happy with the cocktails - she makes better drinks at home. A little disappointing when you pay so much for a drink.Food: 4/5
I am in a "foodie group" where we try new restaurants every month and I have to say that no restaurant can ever top this one! The food and atmosphere was phenomenal! It's worth the price! I loved every minute of it there! I had the seared scallop mushroom risotto and I wanted to lick my plate it was so good
