We ordered a cake and a few vegan cupcakes for our daughter’s first birthday. The cake design was elegant and the taste was smooth. The vegan cupcakes were also tasty and did not leave an after taste like those you would get from your local grocery store. The overall service provided was great!

The Sweetest Thing is the amazing through and through. The owners are kind, and the pastries delectable. Have you ever been disappointed by beautiful pastries but the taste didn’t live up? Not here everything is divine. My suggested try the blueberry muffin and the skor cookie.

I can’t say enough incredible things about this bakery. Definitely our go to spot in Oakville.  If you are looking for a sweet treat definitely get the soft serve and icecream Sammie!  This time we got a twist with the lemon raspberry Sammie!!

Have visited this small shop several times and have been very impressed with their selection and high quality.  When I've gifted various sweets the friends have really liked their treats!  They also usually have 2 types of gluten-free cookies on hand as well.  The lemon sugar cookies are very sweet, while the chocolate chunk cookies have been really moist and my gluten-free friends rave about them!

Personally, I’m not big fan of sweet, but their dessert is awesome!

The owners of this bakery are the kindest most empathetic people I have ever met! We had called them in crisis mode on a Saturday evening after they technically closed because our cake for a baby shower the next day had gotten ruined and we were not local. The owner make something work, made it suit the baby theme, helped us salvage a piece from the old one and packaged it for us. We also had their coffee and cookies and lemon loaf and have been wanting to make the drive just for those. We can’t thank you guys enough the service and quality and everything overall is incredible

Woooooow! I was driving around with a friend on Easter Sunday looking for an open place on Kerr street and there it was. I’ve always wanted to try it based on recommendations and reviews. Where do I start?  I tried a few items and here’s my feedback. Chocolate chip, pecan coconut and oatmeal raisin cookie were all amazing....not sure which was the best out of all three. I also tried the apple crumble bar #no_comment  Of course, no dessert session is complete without a fresh brewed Americano. Very good coffee   I must also admit that I actually passed by to pick up a second round. In addition to the cookies and bars, i got a carrot cup cake. Sane amazing feedback. Maybe i should do a dozen of each next time   And finally, the two ladies working there could not have done a better job. Thank u!  See you soon “The Sweetest Thing!”

I shouldn’t have left birthday cupcakes to the DAY OF but I did. After a quick Google and perusing of reviews I had a good feeling The Sweetest Thing would be my solution. WOW! Their cupcakes are both gorgeous and DELICIOUS!  Fresh, moist and scrumptious with icing that was perfectly sweetened. I actually don’t like icing as it’s often too sugary, but their buttercream was heavenly. Their shop smelled better than any words I could attempt to describe it with. It was immaculate and their staff incredibly kind and helpful.  I highly recommend their baked goods for your next event big or small!  I will be back in May for our other daughter’s birthday. Thanks for the Americano too. The experience made my day.

This review is only talking about the gluten free/dairy free baked goods. So I went here a few months back after seeing they have gluten-free & dairy-free vegan treats. I walked in and got a cookie sandwich and a lemon cookie. The cookie sandwich was about a 3/5, not enough icing imo. The lemon cookie was a 5/5 very delicious. I have periodically gone back and all they have now is the lemon cookie which is my favourite so that’s okay. Yesterday I went in for the lemon cookie. I went about an hour out of my way for it. Unfortunately they didn’t make any of their gluten-free/ vegan treats. So overall I wish it was easier to see what they have in stock in store. The website constantly says under construction in the gluten-free/vegan part, they don’t post much about the gluten-free/vegan treats on their Instagram. They are not accepting holds currently due to the holidays so you have to pre-order via phone I guess. So overall, it’s hard to know if there will be an option for me when I go in.
