If there was a zero I would give a zero. Very unprofessional!!!! Staff arguing amongst themselves. Frint staff becoming upset about kitchen staff, took 1 hours and 15 minutes to get served eggs and toast the toast plate was disgusting see picture. HOWEVER, when a friend of the wait staff came in seated and served in less than 15 minutes that was ridiculous. 5 thumbs down for this establishment.......so so disappointing!!!!!!!! This is what the bottom of a toast plate looks like grease covered......
Won’t be back to this Big Stop if someone paid me $1,000,000 to eat here. Rude server who came out of the kitchen, so obviously had no idea what was going on, and looked at me and said to her co-worker, who was trying to assist me “So she just walked in front of these people and wants a table first?!” When I just asked if we waited to be seated or picked a clean table. First of all; not how to treat people. If there was an issue, I’m sure the “people I got in front of” would have said so. But, you wouldn’t know this, they knew I was there first so they had no issues. Then, I very sternly tell her I was indeed “here first”, I was holding the door for an elderly gentlemen that needed assistance, but I don’t care who gets seated first, I’m not gonna cause a scene. Then she backed up and said “I didn’t know that’s why I was asking!” No, you’re rude & on some kind of weird power trip, and that’s not how you ask customers questions. You made an assumption and you embarrassed me. You didn’t know so shouldn’t have opened your mouth, especially in front of your customers. It was also embarrassing having to have THEM tell you it’s ok, I was here first. Learn how to treat people better because you literally ruined my day, and my appetite. Thanks a lot, Laurie.
The staff welcome us like good friends and we always stop for all-day breakfast when we’re in town! One of Gander’s best restaurants! The Goose has special memories for everyone. It was the very first restaurant I ate at when I arrived to Gander, also I sat here for hours one day with a girl, and now she is my wife!
Had fish with poutine and dressing, it was pretty good. Coffee was good too. Service was even better.
Food is good don’t get me wrong, wait time was atrocious however.

I have been sitting here waiting for my food for 60 minutes now, my coffee cup has been empty at least that long. I Wish that I had looked at the map to see that there were other restaurant choices in the area. Stay away, this appears to be the slowest restaurant in Newfoundland.
Worst service I've ever had here! Messed up my order, never checked to see how it was after it was fixed and she still didn't get it right! No offer for coffee refill, water or checked to see if we wanted dessert. Three tables and a total of 6 people in the restaurant.
Great friendly staff, always really busy but good food at a good price. My 'go to' place when travelling.
Excellent meals throughout the day, every day. Home made white/whole wheat and molasses raisin bread, simply delicious; if you have room to store delicious desserts, try the lemon meringue, or take it with you. Staff are excellent, courteous, friendly and polite, 15% is justified for the great service and the smiles.
