Cool place, good business idea. Bad customer service however, and they pretty much discriminate any card game that isn’t Magic: the Gathering. “People still play that?” in a condescending tone is not an appropriate response for a business to have when asked if they carry accessories for other card games. Do not recommend personally. Very disappointing as it is nearly the only spot to play cards in our small town. Edit Friday, August 9th, 2019: couldn’t respond to the owner’s comment, so hopefully this suffices. I have to say, the primary condition for a joke, is that it’s usually funny... a dry sense of humour is definitely not the problem, as there was no humour period. I will definitely be dropping in to chat with Josh however, hopefully we can clear some things up. Thanks for the prompt response.
Amazing!!! The price to play for 2 hour/person is $4!!!! Super cheep and afordable! The only thing is... The price for food is kind of expensive... $3 for a pack of ramen noodles... But it was so much fun! The staff was super nice and chill They also deliver some things to where you are gaming!
Great for whole family. Come play video games, board games, or trading card games while enjoying specialty coffees and gourmet sandwiches. Owners are friendly and make you feel welcome. Weather your playing games with your friends or just stoping by for a coffee you wont be left disappointed. P.S. best magic the gathering store in Comox Valley.
Great place, friendly atmosphere. Patron's are extremely welcoming if you are new to town, or new to MTG. The coffee and snacks are damn tasty too.
My home away from home. Owned and operated by my friend and his family. Home cooked meals are ready daily, fresh baked goodies, and my favorite milkshakes. When you need entertainment for the whole family that is affordable, this place is your stop. Air hockey, pool table, wall full of board games, classic video games, computers to use, and loads of MAGIC the Gathering. Also some cool spray paintings >.>
It's a cool atmosphere, however dont waste your time your time going here unless you play League of Legends on their computers or Magic the gathering. Anything else and they'll almost push you away like you're a burden to them. Far from professional, not just in customer service but presententation as well. The staff are always grumpy and dont even show up to work dressed in anything other than their pajamas. Definitely dont recommend.
We went in just before close, the lady behind the counter still made us our sandwiches and drink with a smile and told us to take our time eating and enjoy while she finished her clean up. Lots of games, friendly service, great food.
It's fine wish they had more than just magic, and would have Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh events, or at least people playing these games. It is very welcoming to magic players but that's it. They should advertise also and just get the word out about there being a place that anyone can come play games.
Was enjoying the new location with more space. Just remember to be friendly even if you're an owner. These are your customers and they need to feel welcome or they will go elsewhere. I haven't been back for about a year now due to a single experience.
Good selection of some less mainstream but probably better board games. Love the concept of being able to have a coffee or whatever you like and try out a new game. Friendly, helpful service. Will visit again soon as we can.
