In side the Cotes des neiges mall basement. Kinda of a mess as there is a high turn over but there are always treasures to be found at this location. Not to mention No Taxes!!! yes, the price you see is what you pay!!! Large selections and always something different. They prices their products fairly and I always love to come here for a stroll and treasure hunt whenever I can!!!
I always find CDs and books in good condition at a cheap price when I go there. I like the big space in the store. I don't feel as choked as I am in other renaissance locations.
Love Renaissance. It is massive, has a huge variety of things and I can always find some solid pieces at a really reasonable price. Plus the social mission of the non-profit means if feels good to support them.
Large selection of stuff. I found a Holt Renfrew coat 90%wool for 11$ and lululemon pants for 8$ and in excellent condition.
I gave it 1 for location. It doesn't always feel safe and some people block off clothes wirh their carts and seem to bully smaller people and management does not seeem to be English friendly. Called Renaissance but you won't see much enlightenment here, IMO. When a young man appeared to be getting detained a woman was offering to pay for the clothes and they seemed to be refusing. So can feel ghetto/callous: hardened due to exposure to friction, IMO. When I was pushed by this guy in early August I was looking at the shirts, I told customer service, so they would know, in case he did it to someone else, & she either appeared to not understand what I was saying or didn't care. She told me to speak French. She made a phone call then just walked away, making me feel victimized twice, partly because I am an English speaker, IMO. Not worth the hassle & feeling of being ghettoized, IMO. I wish I never went there & avoided such, IMO, mindless friction. Clerk never came back so I just left. Last experience was hurtful & a total waste of time, being, IMO, ghettoized like that for mostly overpriced & worn products, which is also part of ghettoization, IMO. Like another poster said it seemed ridiculous, a total waste of time and I wish I never went there. During a previous visit, when I was going to use change room the second time, the first time there was no problem having my bag with me, one of the ladies started to go on & on, which felt stigmatizing as if I was going to run out with people's throw aways. The products this store has to sell are usually not worth the time, hassle & culture shock you have to put up with, IMO. You can go to Winners and try things on without being treated like that and they are nice to you & speak English. The other lady seemed to be arguing with her, mostly in very fast French. It felt a bit scary and humiliating since I was alone in the change room area where it could have turned out to be their word against my word, wasting my time as if it was nothing & neither of them appeared to be social distancing in the limited space available even though there are many social distancing signs posted in this mall. If you want people to check in bags put a clear sign up at entrance & enforce policy for everyone, not just a select few, so they feel demeaned/ghettoized while shopping at this second hand store where some of the clothes are a lot more than just gently worn, IMO. When some people are allowed bags and other people appear to be targeted for extra scrutiny by staff and possibly assault by customers, ambience could feel harsh, rough & unsafe & if being treated differrently than other shoppers, or, being excluded by possible manufactured circumstances, then it could feel like discrimination & could hurt the way possible discrimination usually does. I also discovered that some brand new T shirts seem to be cheaper at Old Navy. Sad they appear to act as if it is okay to inconvenience some while leaving others alone to shop carrying their bags in peace, especially when their ads on TV seem to emphasize inclusion. Like other customers said, prices seem high and seem to be increasing as value seems to be decreasing, IMO. Sometimes store smells, you feel shunned when you speak English, and often there are 2 sizes on products, theirs & manufacturers'. Conditions seem harsh and almost feels like shopping in poor third world conditions. I will have a hard time feeling safe if I go back. The guy who pushed me wasn't wearing a mask, and people who push smaller people probably don't care about risks and conflicts they pose and create for others, IMO. And the risk of catching Covid-19 is not over. Not worth the risk, IMO. Receiving an apology for bad experiences, in this case 2 bad experiences on same visit, in a review doesn't change design or store culture that may be causing bad experiences, IMO. The prices they charge for, at times, heavily worn clothes, are probably going to serve temporarily, is self-serving, IMO, regardless of charitable status, then is there a code of silence?
Cheap prices for a wide variety of clothes and accessories, really good around Halloween and other thematic holidays! Well organized and not too crowded, they have around 10 cabins to try so there's no big line up went on a Saturday early afternoon.
Best store to shop, if you go first you get the best. Once you like the item take it coz otherwise someone will take it.
Various items in cheap price.. good store for who looking for specially used items with low budget..
The concept is to provide affordable prices for poor people , somehow it’s becoming a trading center and aiming to grow high level of profits, their average prices became too expensive for their main purpose, however you can still find good catches that you may not find elsewhere
A very good shop where you can find women, men and kid's clothes, women bags, stuff for home and paintings.I like it!
