Freedom Valley Campground

This was the first time we’ve ever been to a gay campground and we absolutely loved it! The place is easy to find. There are a variety of camping options to rent; from tents to cabins, and even RVs! The owners and campers there were all very friendly. They have fun events planned on the weekends to keep people entertained. If you don’t want to cook, there is a food truck that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snacks! Prices are quite reasonable. If you forget to bring drinks, there is a liquor store 4 miles away, so you don’t really have to worry about running out of anything. This place makes camping easy. I am definitely planning to come back again and highly recommend Freedom Vally to the gay community!

First time visitors this past weekend. All the guests and employees that we came into contact with were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Could easily see becoming seasonal guests at some point in the future. Being out by the pool was fantastic and would be great to have a few more places to sit as it gets crowded and not everyone can enjoy the space together which is sad that they miss out on meeting all the great people. The only reason the I didn't give it 5 stars was the rental that we had. Even though they have tried to update it, there were enough issues with it that took that last star away. The biggest issue with that rental, the air-conditioner didn't seem to have proper drainage from the condenser unit so it dripped regularly to the floor and then if it ran for any amount of time a panel away in the ceiling would also start to flow with condenser drainage. You can see it has been an issue for awhile in that camper as there are hints of moisture damaged ceiling panels and potential mold damage covered by newer paint. The location of the unit was across from a couple of the nicest and friendliest guys that we met there. Norm kieth and Laney are fantastic make sure if you see the Kermit car at the trailer to the side the main check in house, you stop and say hello to them Jason and ??? oops and their fantastic golden retriever. Will definitely make it a point to return and have a great time like this past weekend.

This place is sooo much fun! We accidentally found it through a friend in 2021,we have been going ever since. Everyone is friendly,alot of fun and created friendships and memories! Can't wait until next season

The best campground I have ever been too. Always feel welcomed.

So I went there on a several friend basis recommendation. I have groups I hang eith in three states. Ohio, PA, West V. All have swore by this place up and down. Has a salt water pool, dark woods to hike through, several other amenities like electric and outdoor indoor bathrooms and showers. I spent the better part of 3 days camping and enjoyed every minute. The staff is so welcoming and A commentating.

Wonderful, relaxing and friendliest place I've been to. They go far and beyond to help you feel comfortable. Love the seasonals. Can't wait until tomorrow see you guys soon

I’ve been going to freedom valley since it opened. It gets better every year. Constant reinvestment into the property. The grounds are immaculate and clean, as are the shower/restroom/pool facilities. The tent valley area is very nice with lots of big shade trees and open areas that get sun. The primitive sites are very nice too. Beautiful countryside surrounding the campground. The small town of New London is a five minute drive away and it have a full service grocery/liquor store, McDonald’s, etc. Buckeye BBQ on site is amazing food if you don’t feel like going to town for food. The atmosphere is relaxed and non-judgemental, no matter who you are. I’ve seen all ages and types of people here and everyone seems to blend nicely. I’ve never met friendlier campers. There is a sense of community here that is unlike any other campground I’ve seen. The friendly owners keep an keen eye on all aspects of the campground to make sure things are running smoothly. If you show up with a good attitude and a friendly smile you will have a great time. To sum it up, if you’re not having a good time here, it’s your own fault. -Pat

The staff and campers are extremely nice. The grounds are well maintained. The events are a blast.

Definitely a great time. Delicious food at the concession area, and reasonably priced. Owners are great, the place is landscaped nicely, the facility is extremely clean and the clientele was very friendly. Very nice outdoor pool, clothing optional, and has various special promotions on weekends. Definitely recommend this place.
