Fraser Health Medical Laboratory

Lab staff is great but the reception desk needs attention. They are detached and rude. Also, my father with mobility issues called to see if his requisition was faxed in. He was told they are too busy to look that up. He made an appointment, got a ride, went in and then they told him it wasn’t faxed yet so he went back home. Next appointment he stood outside for 15 minutes past his appointment time but don’t be late or you lose your appointment and become a walk in. No shade, no seating, no care and no respect. People getting lab work are not healthy people. We are not in the middle of a deadly pandemic now folks. Catch up. You chose a career as a service worker.

This location is awesome! I drive my mother from Harrison to this location for her quarterly bloodwork. We book our appointments and wait where instructed. Sometimes the wait has been longer but I'm sure it is because the patients they are helping need a few extra moments. Yes the "pandemic" is over but the staffing shortages are insane! Let's thank our medical professionals, for showing up, following the guideline's and keeping our information secure when in a room full of people!

Very Rude. Had a requisition sent here. Vedder. Went to Just pick it up, that's all. JUST pick it up! Nope gotta stand in a line to do just that too. No common sense and honestly that is just Lazy imho. Guess these tests will Not be done if a disabled person CanNot stand or sit for any length of time. Plus this was just a pick up. Last time i had gone here i brought a camp stool to sit on but was unable to do even that this time. They need to do better here. Common sense is out the window. Why have Cancer awareness?

The lady on the phone was so rude! I couldn’t believe someone who answers the calls would talk to people like that. Days later I go in for my bloodwork just to be greeted by the same rude lady! Unbelievable. I later find out that her name is Tina. I will no longer be having my bloodwork sent here because of her awful disposition. I recommend avoiding this location.

If you don’t have an appointment then don’t bother going just went there and got turned away because I don’t have an appointment but the two people working there are just sitting around doing nothing. Thanks for the great service.

Walked in at 07:45, waiting room was empty. I was then told they don't accept walk ins before 9:00 am. Walked back out.

Always fast and courteous and now with appointments, it's easy peasy.

Minus one star because this place is so tiny that you have to wait outside, even if you have an appointment, no matter what the weather is. Maybe when COVID capacity restrictions are lifted this won’t be an issue. Also, be aware that they don’t take any walk-ins after 2:00 PM. That being said, my daughter was an absolute NIGHTMARE when she had to get blood drawn, and all three employees came to help. They didn’t make her feel bad or anything, even though she kicked one of them as she was freaking out; they just did their best to give her choices and to be as fast as possible. Thank you Ladies, and I’m so sorry!

The staff their are very kind .They explain what’s happening great with people who don’t like needles lab is very clean.

I have been to this place 2 times and it just get worst. The first time the lady taking information at the front desk had a really poor attitude. I come from an other province and she wanted me to pay instead of using my health care. She made no effort and had an attitude. Second time, it is 7: 30, the place open at 7 am, not a car in the parking lot , no client inside. I come in for a blood work, say good morning, and I told the lady that I'm coming walk in for a blood work, she didn't even let me finish and said that walk in are at 9am... it's 7:30 am no client and all personal is present, will it change their day to take 1 person when the place is empty. Then I had to drove to LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services, it was 7:50 am the place was already open and taking plenty of person. The staff was professional and I didn't have to pay because I come from an other province. We all pay for health care and it is really disappointing to see our money as tax payer going to places like Fraser Health Medical Laboratory. I will stick with life labs. Thats only my experience and point of you. I hope it helps
