About a year ago I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with and working with Ron after several other firms wouldn't take on my case. I had been wrongfully dismissed and discriminated upon based on my disability from my employer. In addition, I was receiving little or no support from my union. My first impressions of Ron, he was very professional and compassionate. He listened to and understood my issues easily and was very upfront about the likelihood of success or not. One of the few lawyers I have dealt with that were genuinely concerned about the cost of going forth with your case. Ron is the best pen to paper lawyer I have ever seen in my life. No exceptions. Ron first took on my union with the labor board (CIRB) and his written brief was outstanding. It was a difficult position to take and the odds of winning against a union were extremely low and Ron made sure I understood that from the onset. In the end we did lose but to this day I feel the decision was unjust. In no way was it a result of the work Ron had done on my file. At the end of the day, I was successful in reaching settlements in all my employment issues as a direct or indirect dealings with Ron. If you have Employment, Human Rights or issues with your union representation, Ron should be the first person you meet with for an honest consultation.

We used Franklin Law for a human rights case and we are extremely happy with the outcome. We used the flat fee service and it was great we knew what it was going to cost upfront. Ron Franklin treated us with the utmost respect and explained everything he was going to do before he did it. We got to approve every letter he sent out before it went out. It was refreshing to deal with a lawyer that treated you with dignity, respect and produced the result he said he would. Ron Franklin was extremely honest with us and he apologized to us for what we were subjected to, when he had nothing to do with the discrimination we experienced. I highly recommend Franklin Law, we know another law firm would not be as caring and his fees are affordable. Franklin Law provides quality representation without compromise.

I had problems with my employer. I had problems with my union. I had been through two other lawyers, before I found Franklin Law. I had previously been told my complaint was unwarranted, or weak at best. However, Ron Franklin quickly grasped the essence of my concerns, took a compassionate approach, and assessed my complaint as valid and worth pursuing. Prior lawyers had lamented that my complaint was too multi-faceted to keep track of effectively and that my narrative was too tangential. Ron Franklin acknowledged the complexity but had no difficulties in keeping track of the various arguments, issues, incidents and overall direction. He was exceptionally skilled at locating and engaging the highest caliber of expert witnesses possible, in order to bolster my case. He was responsive and timely, and demonstrated a high level of expertise in navigating the landscape of the HRTO, and the staff counsel at my employer and union. He had a strong voice as my unyielding advocate, but adeptly avoided being an irritant in an already polarized situation. In the face of frustrating circumstances, he showed grace, restraint, and dignity. I was glad to have him do what I could not. His written work was fluid, coherent and easily understandable, concise, precise, yet detailed where necessary. He assimilated information from a variety of sources into one chronology of facts. He was always prompt, early if not on-time, and fully delivered on all commitments and deadlines. He was also very good at explaining technical legal concepts to a layperson, using colloquial language, good humour, and great patience. One thing that meant a lot to me, and was part of the reason why I booked my initial consultation with Franklin Law, and became a substantial part of the value in having Franklin Law represent me, was the understanding of the difficult position a worker finds herself in when she raises a complaint about her employer, especially without the support of her union. My biggest problem during those dark days of the early stages of my complaint was feeling alone with it. Franklin Law really gets this and hasn't become desensitized to the plight of their clients. I felt understood, reassured, and more confident about my own position in the world and in work. Support like that is priceless. And as I experienced, not easy to find. I'm writing this review because I once didn't know where to turn or even where to start, and if my description here helps you to figure out where to find good help faster than I did, then I am glad for you. Happily, Ron Franklin's assessment that my complaint was valid and worth pursuing was absolutely correct and a favourable settlement was attained prior to hearing. I would recommend Franklin Law with full confidence to anyone who needs this kind of help. I had a full-blown career crisis on my hands, but Ron Franklin saved the day.
