Worst. Beef Dip. Ever. Where's the beef? Like seriously? There was a pathetic dried out sliver in my bun and not only was the au jus flavorless they didn't provide nearly enough to finish up the sandwich. I paid $12 for what was essentially a bun and brown water. I really regret not going to the sub par pizza place next door. Get bent Frankie's!
Got a bacon, tomato and cheese grill sandwich and was the worst, the bread is so dry with just tomato and little cheese. And the whole sandwich had slices of tomato with pinch of cheese and few of half cut bacon not cooked properly and it cost me $8. Please do not go and waste your money.
This place is seriously disgusting. It’s sad because the prices are so incredibly high. The grilled panini is two stale pieces of dry bread pressed with the cheapest fake cheese inside and when chewed it becomes a dry hard ball of gluten and plastic that cannot be swallowed without possibly dying. Absolutely inedible I’d rather eat the paper bag it comes in. My husband ordered the same thing but with bacon…. The bacon is legit flavoured plastic. Yuck.
Super cheap meal at a midrange price. Unseasoned, microwaved bacon and grocery store bread/bagels. These owners and staff oughta get into another business as they seem to hate their job. It was my mistake not to read the reviews in the first place.
Ordered two hot dogs with my friend, after 5 mins, we came back to order again....nice food and service
Montreal smoked meat. It's ok but for a $10 sandwich with no sides I would have expected my sandwich to be a little bigger.
Real home made breakfast! The bacon English muffin breakfast sandwich was way better than TH or SB. They literally fry your eggs in a pan behind the counter. Bacon was great! Only thing was they used Kraft singles for the cheese. Would have excellent with real cheese
Over priced bland roast beef sandwich, old bread , very salty sauce, not even full of beef. Perhaps if cheese is added could enhance one star. If not really hungry, skip this one.
Expensive Beef Dip. One thin slice of beef in a bun and au jus with no flavour, no sides. I will not eat here again.
After purchasing a ticket for the Departure Bay terminal and hearing you have 4 hours to wait because BC Ferries can't figure out predictive scheduling, you need some good food to make you feel better and warm you up from the rain. Frankies is not the place to get that. If you like places that use absolutely the cheapest, cardboard flavored ingredients, then you are in luck. We ordered a grilled cheese panini, a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon panini, and a wonton soup. All three were terrible. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use for the paninis but it seemed to be a mixture of glue and flour. The bread was plain white, cut slightly thicker than an envelope. They did toast it correctly; I'll give them that. Which probably isn't tough because more than ten seconds in the toaster and the thin slices would catch fire. There was a few tomato fragments in the one panini, which honestly looked like the tomatoes that have already been sundried and fermented though these had no flavour so I think the poor red pieces were just dilapidated after their long journey from China. The 2 pieces of bacon in the panini looked ok but were hardly enough to make a sandwich. And any flavour they had were washed out by the glue in the cheese-like mixture. $5.99 for the bacon/tomato fragment/glue panini. The soup had some simple flavouring, but the wontons were sourced from the same flour store as the cheese-glue. I love wonton soup and this was the exact opposite of what I love about wonton soup. Tough wonton noodles this flour had some structural integrity to it, and very boring broth, for $5.99. Next time you visit the Departure Bay terminal for some food, give this place a hard pass.
