We had a great time, the lunch special was delicious. I had the Chicken Carbonara and my Husband had Nonna's lasagna. Both were amazing. The best part though was the staff, the two ladies working were so lovely and made for an exceptional visit. It was our first visit but it wont be the last. Thanks so much!
My girlfriend and I rode around to Advocate harbour today, and stopped into Frank & Gino’s for a late lunch. The food was great if a bit more pricey that I was happy paying a lunch meal, but the service was fantastic and I really enjoyed the Greek salad we substituted for French fries. We shared our meals, while each of us enjoyed an Italian soda, and I agreed with Caroline that the donair sandwich was lovely but would have benefited from a side of donair sauce for dipping. I’m looking forward to sampling more of their menu in the future.
Passed through Amherst and stopped by to have lunch. Lasagna’s meh but the donair pizza? Oh the donair pizza’s THE BEST!! Servers are slow though. Like really slow even when it’s not a busy day.
Hamburger review. Hamburger was a good size Hamburger Patty was not dry. Lettuce tomato and etc were crisp. Burger was hotFood: 4/5
Birthday dinner with family tonight was absolutely amazing. Mushroom Swiss burger was literally the best burger I’ve had in a very very long time! Highly recommend! Seriously tho, burger cooked to perfection, fresh bun grilled perfectly, lots of mushrooms, fresh veggies and the fries were off the hook too. Killed it guys! Keep up the good work. We will be back 100 percent! Cheers! Kid-friendliness: Definitely Parking: Easy Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance
Absolutely awesome place! Took the entire family there for the 2nd time and again experienced outstanding service! Kids were fed well and we ate our fill as adults. The bill at the end was shocking considering what we ordered. Great local business!!!
Went to Frank & Gino's in Amherst with my family yesterday for a meal and was completely dissatisfied. Our server was the best part of the entire experience, she was a sweetheart. We waited over 40 minutes for our meals. Me and my brother ordered the Carbonara, I got the large and he got the lunch menu one. The portion size of both was the same, except my plate was bigger and it was double the price. Food was also not great. Chicken tasted like a wet communion wafer, and there was an ungodly amount of oil in my pasta. Not to mention, the bill was $75!! Very disappointed. This restaurant has every ability to be great, but this time, it wasn't.
Service was slow, 12 minutes to get asked what I wanted to drink and 10 more minutes to comeback with it. It was well after the lunch rush. The food would have been good if I had got it hot, it was warm.
DO NOT BOOK THIS REASTAURANT FOR A LARGE GROUP!! This was the worst group serving experience I’ve ever had. We came as a hockey team on a tournament-we booked days ahead of time, they knew how many people we had coming. Our family table of 4 waited 1.5 hours for our meals, with a 3 year old at the table-sound like fun? It wasn’t. . Not once did they come and offer a refill of our drinks, not an explanation of wait times, a loaf of bread-nothing. ONE person was serving our entire group. I’ve been to many ‘team meals’ on many tournaments and this was BY FAR the worst experience to date. Food was overpriced and mediocre. DO NOT BOOK THIS RESTAURANT FOR A LARGE GROUP!!!!
Changing my review because of the effort I have just seen put out by the staff here for our booked Christmas party of the Defenders motorcycle club last Saturday night. There was 26 of us and the level of service was remarkable, they went out of their way to make it a very enjoyable and yummy evening, apparently even setting up a Christmas tree for us to lay presents under, providing some awesome appetizers to start the evening, and special pies brought in for dessert to finish things up. The entire menu was available to order from and the presented food was delicious and I didn't hear one complaint from anyone. We had a fantastic time and would like to thank the management and staff for making us feel festive and welcome. Highly recommended.
