Minneapolis just gained an awesome new brick-and-mortar vegan restaurant! I frequented their food truck previously and am so excited that they have a permanent space of their own. The food is absolutely delicious! Tasty vegan burgers with options for gluten free buns if needed. They create fun combinations for burger toppings and make THE BEST dipping sauces. Atmosphere gives off funky yet chill vibes. There are two areas, the bar side and the "dining room" side. Both offer a slightly different space depending on the mood and seating style that you're looking for. Staff is welcoming and super friendly. I would highly recommend going to Francis!
Visited Francis for a late lunch on a Saturday and there were a handful of tables available. We ordered the juicy Lucy impossible and a single cheeseburger with Jalapeños impossible both which were absolutely delicious. Anyone who’s making the switch to meat alternatives know it’s hard to make the perfect burger, but they have succeeded! Tasty, crispy seasoned fries paired perfectly. The servers were very friendly delivering waters after you order, and I liked the QR code at each table so everything is right at your fingertips without grubby menus. The vibe was laid back diner and it was cozy but the tables were not too close together / overcrowded. Looking forward to coming back here and adding a cocktail or cider to the meal!
The fries are amazing here! Service was great. The atmosphere is split between a calm, dark room and a lighter, more energetic social space. Stick with the bar side if you want a bit more chill environment. They have gluten free buns and the burgers were wonderful.Food: 5/5
So it is really good, both friends thought, if you didn't tell me it was meat I wouldn't have known. Their food is well seasoned fantastic fries and legit a plethora of sauces to choose from all were good AND you can get beer and cocktails here. My concern is the pricing. I could go to stock and spade and honestly get something very close to this, faster and way cheaper. I'm all for giving fair wages, but sometimes the business also needs to foot that bill to a degree. A 20% fee for someone to bring me a water and food and that's it, what am I really tipping on then? You have a QR code to order food. I felt like I went to an actual restaurant for the price I paid and got less attention. Tipping in America will forever be weird even when I work in this industry. Vegetarian options: It's all plant based.
The cocktails here were unique and so so delicious. Also, amazing food, the burgers were so good, the buns were perfect. I ordered the baconator and it was perfectly cooked and just incredible, though I recommend you order it with veggies on it! I also tried the juicy Lucy and bacon ranch chicken sandwich, which were also both just incredible. This is the best vegan burger place in the cities FOR SURE.
I am in trouble now! This place has the best vegan cheeseburgers with optional vegan bacon, fries, and brussel sprouts! Juicy Lucy? Check. Super friendly staff. Check. Super crispy fries? Check. GF options including dedicated fryer.Food: 5/5
So excited to have this place in the neighborhood. Everything we tried was delicious. Our Vegan friend had the wedge salad and was super impressed with the blue cheese dressing. The burger was very good and my husband said the chicken sandwich was better than other real chicken sammies he had had at other places The battered fries are reason enough to stop in. I'm excited to try the fancy disco type friends next time. Good curated beer list. Didn't try the signature cocktails but they looked good. The app based ordering system isn't super intuitive but we quickly caught on and it works well. I appreciate the policy of a flat tip rate as it's clear what exactly you are paying. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan so no worries about a milk based bun or cheeses.
Absolutely in love with this new burger joint. Atmosphere 5/5 and food 10/5. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. They have a fun selection of cocktails and good beer/wine choices. I forgot to take photos of my food because as soon as they set the food down, I dived in and didn't stop. I will definitely be returning!
I’m not vegan or vegetarian and I will definitely be getting their burger again. The fries are really good and crispy too! They’re also very accommodating of gluten allergies.
*Updated review on the new permanent location* The vegetarian chicken sandwhich is AMAZING. My partner got the "Garlic girl" Black bean burger and that was delicious as usual. Fries are always hot and yummy Great with their ranch dressing! Can't wait to try the wedge salad. Very nice cocktail/beer menu. Good atmosphere and space as well. We easily were able to navigate and find a table and ordered food and drinks through their website using the QR code on the table. Someone brought us water and asked if we had any questions not long after we sat down. And also another person not sure if they are an owner or manager came and checked on us to see how everything was and grabbed our dishes out of the way when we were done. Overall a great experience and will be returning!
