Why is the dogs allowed to go into water and my kids not? Is the park just dog friendly? We just wanted to have fun with my kids. Why was not told me at the entrance?

I am giving this place 5 STARS BECAUSE THEY ALLOW dogs.
I am reading the reviews of people being upset because their kids are not allowed in the water and this is exactly how I feel when my TILA is not allowed in places like the mall , grocery store, airport, restaurants etc... I am trying to be funny here. 

This place is heaven for me. I take my painting lessons here so this is heaven for me:
Silence, colors, Tila running free my heart doesn't need anything more.....

Love getting together for our family reunions here! The lifeguards are patient and friendly with the kids but very good at there jobs. The facilities are clean as well as the grounds.

Nice place for a picnic. Good shelter, holds enough people in case of rain. We had a lovely spot with a lake view.

Great family beach with hiking trails, picnic facilities, volleyball, and rental boats.  Dog swim area is nice but can be quite crowded.
