Fountain Tire

Service has been gradually getting worse. Over filled my engine with oil (a good cm above the fill line). Wrecked a lug nutt, but didnt mention it, so that i could get it replaced. Did not top up fluids with oil change and my guess is that they didnt even bother to look. I have decided to go else where, too many mistakes.

As usual the work at a fountain tire shop is good. The client service on the phone was good; however when a quote is given one expects that one pays a little more if something unforseen happens. My car broke down in this town and was not driveable. The bad surprise was that we had to pay 16 - 20% more than the quote which was over a $1000 already. I do not go back and with a difference like that I should have been notified.

Came to fountain cause i had noticed after changing a flat that my car was suddenly wobbling and swerving the next time i drove. They test drove it and said i would need a wheel alignment, so i dropped my car off, came back to pick it up and they said they couldn't do the alignment cause i had two grand worth of parts that needed to be replaced beforehand, it's an old car i got that, paid $65 for the inspection and went home to decide on the next solution. my dads best guess was that the strut was causing it, so we ordered the part and they gave us a quote of around $230. brought my car in again and got it changed, and all of a sudden my total was $530 for the service, which was completely not communicated to either of us. we refused to pay a price that was more than double what we were quoted and they made the excuse of a "misunderstanding" when it was blatant misinformation. to make matters worse, i drove the car home and the wobble was not fixed, and upon my dads closer look, they had replaced the strut on the wrong tire that was not causing the problem. so we paid $280 to replace a part that never needed replacing in the first place and my original problem was never addressed. we went to bumper to bumper in nampa and they were able to tell us right away that the strut was not, in fact, even to blame for my wobble but it was just due to a bent bar from the jack that had been used to change my flat. the staff at fountain were polite and accommodating, offered me rides each time i had to drop off my car, but i will definitely not be coming back here because my time and money were completely wasted.
