Great place for a good classic fresh well-prepared Chinese food. We were staying in a hotel in Prince George for a month and we got takeout from Fortune Palace twice and had a great experience so just cited to drop by there to eat in the dining room for a change. We came in almost 9 PM They’re open till 10 PM So we were the only ones there and they took our order and came out of the kitchen for us very quickly. All the vegetables were nice and fresh properly cooked but still had a nice crunch & texture. The meat in the dishes were nicely marinated and tender with good flavor. We got the beef and Bok choy, Almond Guy Ding, And their barbeque pork. I asked if they made it in house and they said they did. I asked when they were last made and they said yesterday so I ordered a plate so we could take it back to hotel for snacking. It was also fresh with good flavor.. It was great to see they actually had individual glass containers of soy sauce for the table! I hate those little packets. They almost always squirt on me or get on the table. It was the first Asian restaurant we’ve been to In Prince George that didn’t give us those darn little packets of soy sauce! It’s a really good classic Chinese restaurant that has a big round family style tables with the Lazy Susan in the centre. Hector and I both enjoyed our meal and we had enough leftovers for another 2 meals. Nice extensive menu, quite big restaurant with lots of parking. Very clean and well organized. Parking: Nice big parking lot
I wasn't nt expected to meet that good Chinese restaurant. They have westernized Chinese and also authentic Chinese too. Prawns are plump and beef is tender. I like it. We ordered beef with green bell pepper, seafood chow mein and ma po tofu. My favourite is seafood chow mein. Ma Po tofu needs more spicy.
Did not disappoint. Huge portions. Neither of us could finish our meals! My partner wanted Chinese since we're never in the city. I have a lot of food allergies so I never like going for Chinese but I was pretty stoked to see online that this place had a gluten free menu! Right on guys. Definitely raising the bar. Thanks for the good food and good service. We'll be back next time we're in Prince George.
We stopped in on our way to the airport back to Vancouver and pleasantly surprised how delicious this place was! We got the vegetable chow mein, pork dumplings, and pork and shrimp fried rice. So yummy, we even took take out for the plane : Aesthetic inside could be a bit nicer but the place is very quick and clean! Great find.
SS tasted like bbq pork not SS PORK. Noodles were mushy and tasteless and chicken was over cooked and a little crunchy.Food: 1/5
Had my wedding reception here on September 17th the staff were very accommodating the food was delicious and after the event was even given a present from the staff can't thank them enough for the wonderful experience the manager Leah was a joy to work with throughout the entire experience.Food: 5/5
Went here on August 28th. Ordered a small wonton and their #8 meal which included chicken chow mein, sweet & sour pork, vegetable chop suey and deep fried prawns. The soup was hot and very good and the meal was served shortly after. Loved that the vegetables were crisp but the prawns had more breading then I like but were delicious.
Very bad food! Asked if I needed cutlery , said yes please and received none. Ate with my fingers as was in a hotel. Not a single wonton in the very expensive War Wonton soup and combo all tasted like grease. Tipped very good and was very sorry! Really disappointing Parking: No idea but wanted my review to count
I ordered beansprout chowmein and two springrolls from fortune palace. The springrolls were tasty and i enjoyed them but i found the chowmein to be lacking a little on the flavor. Service was very friendly and i was immediately greeted upon walking into the restaurant to pick up my order. The price was reasonable and portion size was on par with other Chinese restaurants in Prince George. Overall a good experience and meal but i just wished the chowmein was a little more flavorful is all.
We went here with our family after a funeral and there was about 40 of us. They are so efficient there! We didn't wait long for food and refills kept coming. Large portions even for lunch sizes. Super impressed!Food: 5/5
