Fortinos - Coffee Bar

Been coming here for years and the grocery experience has always been great. Bakery is also wonderful and fresh. The take home dinners have gotten better and now there is a weekly discount on sandwiches. Would be great to see halal offerings more but otherwise 5/5 !

Love shopping at Fortinos, even for lunch their hot plates and soups are good… Location is very nice, bright and open, people that work there are very helpful and polite, fresh products are good and the bakery has also very good options…

I once considered Fortinos to be a top tier grocery store. Unfortunately the last few trips have resulted in too much food waste. The grapes >$10 were purchased today and we couldn’t see the rotten ones or the mold until we got them home and unpackaged them. So, the take away is that there is no sense in spending more at a once top tier grocery store. Fortinos- When consumers are forced to spend more, we also expect more. The bar is higher for you because your prices are higher- do better or make room for the lower cost grocer- we know what to expect from them.

Always clean, organized, fresh. They always have customized cake and cupcake available for the season. However, staffs are sometimes not friendly, not available to approach most of the time in most of the aisle…

Nice place to shop overall. Prices can be a lot higher than other stores for certain items. Overall decent customer service. Have found some staff to be rude at times. Seafood department is good except the last time I went. The scallops and shrimp I bought were rotten! Took scallops back but couldn't be bothered to bring shrimp back. Pretty disappointed. Will make sure I ask staff to ensure they are fresh before purchasing. Need a better wine shop. Pretty limited selection

Definitely one of the best grocery stores in southern Ontario. Meat counter is always serving top notch cuts of beef and pork..the vegetables are always fresh and the selection of cheeses is beyond most stores. The rest of the store is fantastic as well. We come here all the time….we will keep coming back

I think I may be in love with this place. I have never wanted to spend so many hours in a supermarket before. There’s so many hot food counters, everything appears to be very well kept and clean, delicious looking pizzas, sandwiches, sushi and chicken. It really is a great place to shop.

Good place for grocery shopping. Lots of lunch/dinner options, great coffee. Good but inconsistent hot counter items and soups. Price is decent for groceries as their meat and produce quality is good. 3.5 stars because of consistency and pricing with hot counter items. Have gotten great soups one day and super watered down the next visit last time I threw most out-- and I hate wasting food.... Similar goes for other items i.e pizzas, chicken breasts, etc. Some visits cooked accurately and others were super overcooked. I will keep going for sure, especially for grocery shopping, however will check on lunch items before leaving...

This location is very spacious and has many advantages: It has a lot of parking spots available; you can buy hot meal from variety of options salad, pizza, pasta, fried chicken, fried seafood, etc. and it has dining area to sit down and enjoy the hot meal you bought Definitely not in COVID pandemic and only on normal times. Store is clean and staff are helpful.

I live in Calgary but travel time by time to YYZ for work or visit with family in Oakridge. This Fortinos has become my stop for dining, or take-out every time. Aside from being a great store for regular grocery shopping, the hot meal section i say restaurant grade is the place to dine. Superb quality ready meals to dine-in or take out. Fresh made pizza, oriental meals, sandwiches and soups, fried chicken and meat, salads, fruit cups, all and all excellent quality. Bakery products are super good. And i always purchase their coffee beans, great quality and variety to choose from. Wish we had Fortinos here in Calgary!
