Took my favorite motorcycle boots there which I thought were going to be a write-off and was told that they could fix the one that was trashed and refurbished my other for a really great price. They came back looking brand new. Highly recommend.
Always have a great experience when I bring stuff for repair. Recently, they fixed the backs of my high heeled shoes where my dog chewed them. I didn’t have high hopes because I thought it was unrepairable. I was extremely pleased when I picked up my shoes. Made the other shoe look the same so it looks like part of the design. Now I can keep them out of the landfill and use them again!!! Very pleased with their work, friendliness and cost.
Awesome customer service!!!! Needed the zipper fixed on my daughters jacket dropped it off and was told it would be a few days, got a call an hour later he had fixed my daughters jacket cause he didn’t want her to be cold. Highly recommend!!!
This place is a treasure -- first-rate craftsmanship, friendly service from the couple who run the business, and extremely reasonable prices. Once upon a time all small towns and cites had these kinds of repair shops, but they've become increasingly rare in an era of mass production and "disposable" goods. Several times now they have "rescued" favourite shoes that might have seemed bound for the landfill and made them beautiful, durable, and given them a whole new lease on "life." We are lucky to have this business in the Fort and I recommend them without hesitation.
My work boots not even 6 months old needed some stitching and repair. I drove in from St. Paul. I did a Google search and was directed to Fort Shoe Repair I was sceptical regarding the reviews. Upon entering the store I was warmly greeted , I explained the scenario as to my schedule and other appointments. I was told it might not be today , but if I left my number they would give me a call, maybe 2 hrs. I went back out to my truck to make some phone calls. I am about to drive away and my phone rings, my boot is ready. Not even 25 minutes later. I am more than suprised . I rush back in , go to pay the bill I am shocked by the price! Are you sure? Yes.! I had to argue to leave a $12 tip. We split the difference , the owner settled for a $7 tip. Service with honesty. Thank you so very Much!! I will continue to do the 1.5 drive to support this Business.
Worst job ever, just don’t go there!!! Took my boots in for a heel repair, ended up having half the heels cut off, not even straight, and patched with a piece of plastic. They put glue on the suede and the corners are not glued properly, it’s already peeling off.
Didn't think the sandles could be fixed with the spaghetti cord broken. Repaired them both thanks!nicely
I've been taking my work boots, motorcycle leathers and gloves here for repair for 6 years now, and have always received great service for proper small town prices. We're lucky to have a real cobbler in the Fort.
This place is GREAT! The customer service was excellent, and the value for their services is spot on. I got my boots polished and the zipper fixed... and for free they even glued my heel down.. which they noticed was coming free. Amazing value. Support local.
DO NOT have your boots re-soled here. They lasted 3 months before the grips were gone again I’m an office worker mostly inside and when I took them back they said there’s nothing they can do. No refund, no re-repair and basically said I lied about my choice of sole...there was 1 choice given. It’s a shame that a mom and pop business like this is so dishonest and do not hold true to their service. Thanks for ripping me off $80
