It is really unfortunate that I am giving this place 1 star, but we really got charged 50$ for a bad experience. When we first entered, the dining situation was similar to take out, so order up front, you can take a seat but no silverware or bowls, not even cups for water It costs extra for a bottle. The halibut fish pieces were the size of barely your palm and charging 17$ per piece 2 for 25+ I can't remember the exact price. Went with their special instead, which was a spicy shrimp rice... got served old kimchi, rice, and 4 shrimps in what felt like a small serving size. Clam chowder was okay, fish tacos was unpleasant. Please just take a look at the photos and go elsewhere.
Small portions and the restaurant is still serving with all disposable cutlery and boxes for dine-in. Otherwise, the food was good. Cost of the dine-in box in the picture is $17 excluding tax.
The food was very tasty. The prices were very reasonable. The staff were gems, and so attentive. The view of the river was great. The tables were simple, but the rest of the decor and atmosphere was really nice and spotless. So great to see the wheelchair ramp and accessible bathroom too. We really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely come back next time we're in town. This was a treat. Thank you! Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and accessible bathroom. No obstructions.
Had the shrimp and chips today and it was great! Super tasty and fresh, really great having a fish and chips place in our awesome town. Had to edit because made this review a week ago and we recently just tried the halibut!!!!!!! IT IS DIVINE, A MUST HAVE, extremely delicious!!!!
By far, the best halibut and chips I've ever had in my life. Just wish it wasn't so far away from home. The fish is fresh and the batter is light and delicious. The clam chowder is the best I've ever tasted, so much clams in every spoonful. The fries are freshly cut and perfectly cooked. Be sure to get the homemade lemonade. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. If you're ever in Bancroft, put this place on your must visit list! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I had fish tacos and the family had halibut and chips. Food was great and the service was very friendly. Beautiful location. Recommended. P.S. Kids say food was “awesome.” River was beautiful. Waitresses were very kind.
Delicious, freshly cooked, simple fare. Battered fish was crispy and tender, lemonade and iced tea tasty, salads crisp and flavourful. The picnic bench with river view made this the perfect end of vacation treat.
This used to be a great place to take the family for some delicious fish and chips. Now they are incredibly over priced and greedy considering the portion sizes. They want the bill paid and a tip before they even serve you and people getting served in the dining room still have to eat out of take out containers. We will be taking our money somewhere else now. Good bye.
