Very nice clean restaurant. Food is hood. Portions good. Black cake is great.
I can't believe this place calls themselves Jamaican. I know most Jamaican restaurants don't serve rotis and it is not common to eat, but when I got my roti I noticed something was off. I opened it up, and there was 2 bones with basically no meat and a tiny potato. The bones were huge and the thing was empty. You don’t put a chicken thigh inside a roti, it should be small. I basically tore it apart to find what was in ithence the mess on my plate and found myself disappointed! I know covid has been affecting businesses but what is this? I can go somewhere else and get a better one for the same price but decided to try something new. I'm just very disappointed honestly. I’ll be going back to my regular place.
Always received exceptional service from the employees here. Their Jerk chicken and Beef Patties are fantastic! Only thing I would recommend is calling to ensure they're open before heading there; I have found the hours a little sporadic since Covid.
Great welcoming environment and energy. Food flavourful and fresh, portion sizes are well worth the quality and taste.
The one star I am giving this restaurant is extremely generous. Don't waste your money here unless you want diabetes from the overly salted meat. We got oxtail, jerk chicken and pork. I literally threw my whole dinner away because it was too much salt. Also Jamaicans clean the fat off of meat. Also please cook fresh Rice and peas everyday. It's not alot to do.. none of this reheating old rice, I can tell the difference. I understand the pandemic may have it you hard as a restaurant owner but this is just terrible and you need to do better.
Wife and I thought let's check it out and instead of getting a roti at Roti n ting we saw online that footprints was open until 9 on saturdays so we decided to go there. The sign on the door read 11-9 on Saturdays. So when I walked in at 7pm and I hear a man yell were closed, that was pretty dissapointing. Anyhow we should have went for the roti since they are always open when they say they are, instead of trying footprints out for the first time, we will never attempt to go there again. That's too bad cause it looks pretty good.
The place name FOOTPRINTS nice nice nice... chicken falls off the bone. And the steam fish and provision is salivating, leaves you wanting more. Food is seasoned and spiced to perfection and the portion of food you get is good. Definitely recommend this place if your coming to Durham region.
Doesn’t taste like oxtail, someone can’t cook in there. Was better when they first opened with the avocado
This food is absolutely tasty and I am a cook. The chef knows his stuff. I have tried everything except the fish and I will try it one day soon. The place to go if you need a tasty and filling authentic Jamaican cuisine. VERY VERY VERY GOOD. I ATE BONES LIKE I WAS A DOG. QUITE SATISFYING AND THE AMBIANCE IS VERY NICE. MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Today was my first time trying Footprints. I ordered the jerk wings and shrimp pasta and the wings tasted warmed up and the shrimp pasta was room temperature. I won't be going back here.
