Not a fan of Caribbean food. Order jerk beef and curry goat, both taste good and delicious. Would love to dine-in to enjoy freshly cooked food.
I recently had the jerk chicken and rice and peas and unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. The jerk chicken that I ordered was dry and lacked the juicy and flavourful taste that I usually get. Also, the rice and peas was also dry and lacked any seasoning or flavour. I’m hoping that it will get better and return to its former standards.
The worst thing about most West Indian restaurants is the customer service. But Berry's has remedied this by having wonderful staff. In fact, even though I live in North Whitby, I drive all the way to the Pickering location because of the service. Chloe is delightful, always greeting you with a warm smile and excellent service. And the food is hands down the best in the GTA. Not overly oily, always fresh, and mostly importantly - CONSISTENTLY GOOD. They never disappoint. The fried chicken, jerk chicken and curried goat is a must have. Berryl's is truly a gem.
Amazing spot. Great service and food taste perfect. Will def come here again. Big ups to the chef for giving moms some hot soup while she waited for her fried fish. So sweet on a reallllly cold winter evening.
I order a lot from this location via Uber and moving forward I am stopping. The meals are over priced on Uber and inperson and I find the quality to be consistently going down. Not a fan and would not recommend. And why never enough gravy????!! Food always dry.
I'm all for a good West Indian take out but this one hit way below the grade. It was not what I expected. The food lacked flavor and presentation. I paid $17 for leg quarter and rice. Very disappointingFood: 1/5
Such a great place. I got a small curry Goat and it was AMAZING , tasted just like my mothers cooking ! It was well seasoned and cooked with care! Definitely will be back again
I accidentally bumped into this place. I tried Curry Goat dish here. The meat was tender, the spice level of the gravy was mild. Felt like an authentic home cooked South Indian dish. Give a try, you will love it.
Love the food here. Recently I wanted soup and they only had pepper pot dah, it's the name of the restaurant. I hadn't had this soup for decades and it was always a hit or miss for me. I had the small just in case it was a miss. It was a huge hit. It's a bit from me but occasionally I'll drive the distance just for some good food.Food: 5/5
Another waste of time Jamaican restaurant. Attitude more than food! Sucks. Lunch special $12+ for two piece of meat. And i had to beg for pepper sauce??? What country you crawl out from? Caribbean people eat pepper! Go somewhere better. No time for dred woman serving food very unpleasant face like she a living dead. Hire better people. She think she working in an office? No you is a server goon. Fed up waiting for slowmoving freaks. You should close. You wasting space. And your food run down, no taste. Better to eat anywhere else. First and last for me
