Foodland - Markdale

Store hours say the store closes at 10pm. Covers are pulled over all the produce by 9:30pm. Not very inviting to shoppers. Either the store closes at 10 or 9:30... which is it? Foodland is gouging customers for the necessities of life. The only reason I was even in a Foodland was because someone gave us a gift card. I certainly wouldn't shop here on a regular basis. I can drive 25 kms to a Food Basics and still save money.

Prices are higher than they should be. There's no need to charge 50% to 100% more than the competition. That being said Markdale Foodland is the best Foodland as far as fresh produce goes.

Parking lot was safe for walking, food costs inside the store bordering on obscene just demonstrating the level of greed. A trip to the grocery store is more about finding what else you can't afford. Check out staff friendly.
