Foodland - Markdale

Had a very short experience here. Fast check out. Just needed cilantro. Was impressed they had it, considering I believe it's the only grocery store around for kilometers. I also needed to purchase worms for fishing. I received fast and friendly service from an employee stocking shelves who was able to confirm they didn't sell them there, but the gas station next door had a selection.

Great selection, including many local producers. Decent organic section, salad bar, rotisserie, some interesting products not found anywhere else. Open 24 hours most days of the year. Really nice staff.

Great service, selection and staff. ground beef was perfectly pink on the outside but used straight from store and middle was mostly greyish. Fruit selection however was awesome!

Pros: Open 24 Hours a day - Excellent Staff - Helpful Butchers Cons: Compared to most stores at least $1 or more a product . More like convenience store pricing.
