Food Fight BBQ is one of the best smokehouses in GTA! First of all, due to some very controversial reviews I wanted to give this place at least 3 tries so I could be sure they’re consistent. Let me tell you, all 3 times I ordered a delivery to Mississauga my order was impeccable! Sauces are perfectly balanced as well as the smoky flavour of the meat. Mac and cheese is exquisite, creamy and cheesy but noodles are al dente Pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs… I’ve tried them all and can’t find anything that I won’t like Yes, the cornbread is muffin shaped but isn’t it better? It’s just a matter of shape but the flavour & texture are so on point I don’t know how anyone can be against it… They go an extra mile, from packing to flavour. Also, they follow instructions to the T. I really wanted some pickles and guess what, even though it wasn’t a part of any of my selections they generously provide it on several occasions in a neat separate container. I sincerely hope you won’t change and management has a full right to defend themselves since this place is amazing! Keep up amazing work, will be ordering much more in the future! P.S. have you tried smoking brisket or ribs yourself? It’s an art and deserves to be praised!
I would give this place 3.5 stars but will give 4-star because of the inability to give .5 ratings. We got the feast #3 and the meat items were tasty. Ordered brisket, wings, and ribs as our meats. The brisket and ribs were an extra $4.00 each but worth the price as it came in fairly good portions. We asked for the fried wings and ended up getting breaded one star off. Our third side we chose the cornbread but it is actually a cornmeal muffin, which is fine because cornmeal muffins are my favourite. Only concern is that the menu said the meal feeds three people and it only came with one small sized muffin. Didn’t really seem like a side at all. Had to split a small little muffin three ways. If I knew this would be the case I would’ve ordered an additional side. My favourite out of all the items were the ribs ordered with their apple bbq sauce.
Came here on a Saturday between lunch and dinner because I was in the area and I saw the great ratings. The girl at the front cash was friendly and offered a few things when we told her it was our first time here. She recommended the crispy chicken sandwich and cornbread, even though it was a BBQ place. Prices were pretty decent for dining in, and they do have an extensive menu as well as a menu with daily specials.We paid, took a seat, and we were called up to the front when the food was ready. The tables were slightly dirty. Given it was during COVID, I would've expected decent cleaning between seatings, not to find bacon bits still scattered on the table from the last guest, so I ended up wiping down the table myself before eating. The food itself was good, but not amazing. The crispy chicken sandwich that was recommended was a little on the salty side, but was fried perfectly, crispy but still moist. The honey butter cornbread was made in a muffin tin, but quite dry and lacked the rich cornbread flavour and aroma. My partner also ordered a pulled pork sandwich. There was a depth of flavour, but you could feel that the pork had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time as the pieces were dry. The one highlight of the visit was their rack of rare candy / soft drinks on display. They had quite a few candy / chocolate bars and soft drinks where you wouldn't be able to find in an average store. I was hoping for a little bit for of a wow factor during my visit, given the ratings and reviews, so hopefully, it'll be better next time I'm in the area and decide to stop by for a bite!
My favorite bar/BBQ establishment in Brampton. The food here is just amazing. Their smoked meat tastes out of this world. And the range of sauces you can have just tops it off even more. The beef brisket is my favorite with the mango habanero sauce. Don't be fooled, you will end up going to this place over and over. Whether for takeout or dining in.
Listen to the bad reviews. The ribs are actually trash. They just threw sauce on the ribs and called it a day instead of actually basting it while cooking to infuse real flavour. The difference in taste is evident. Not worth the money honestly. Taters are also trash. Looks and taste like frozen mccain’s sprinkled with cheese. Lol. Cornbread tastes like carrot muffins :/ Edit: I’ll come in the restaurant and say it right to your face, I was a CUSTOMER, not just initials on a random review sweetheart. Learn how to take it on the chin and improve instead of standing by your garbage food, beloved
Awful service- ordered in this evening all the way from caledon and the orders are so small. See pictures below. Worse service!!! When asked to speak to a manager the lady that answered the phone said she was the manager but cant give her name… awful service do not order! Oh wow I can’t believe your response. I have ordered from your restaurant in the past and we had no issues first time we did and this is your response. My friend your employee is crying because she has a boss like you. Feel bad for employees that have no answers because management does not train them. You do not have customer service skills not to sure how you are running a business. Anyway if anyone is looking to place an order please read reviews and confirm portion size.
Visited with an evening burger appetite and came out extremely gratified. The juiciness lacking in the FF Veggie Burger was more than compensated by the Cheesie Supreme Super Poutine recommended by the staff. The poutine cannot be ingested without a wide grin and cheerful moan Mmm...! Overall ambience was pleasing for a burger joint and service was on par. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan-friendly options available in burgers, sandwiches, poutine and pasta. Staff is helpful in recommending available options.
Got take out, food was really good. We got the wings, brisket, and pulled pork. Portions could be better but it was enough to fill 2 people.
I stopped here while staying locally on a business trip. The food was great and the customer service was very friendly. Being from the US, the rare candy was not too rare to me, but the lady behind the counter explained that many of the candies were not available locally. What a nice "treat" to offer customers! If I am ever back in the Brampton area, I will do my best to stop back!
I had ordered ribs and brisket sandwich. Flavours were great and price was reasonable too. However, the ribs weren’t tender which was kind of a let down. Also I’d recommend caramelizing the sauce bit more rather than just brushing it on the ribs. I will definitely recommend and I myself will revisit and hopefully ribs will be more tender next time. 3/5 for the food this time, 4/5 for the value and service.
