I get the majority of our groceries at Food Basics, and with good reason...the prices on almost everything is highly competitive. Then, any sale prices are a bonus. The selection is great, and their produce has improved noticeably over the past few years. Sure, they don't have an in-house bakery, deli, or seafood section, but to be able to buy 90% of our groceries here at much better prices than a competitor down the street, I can live with that. Service is always friendly and efficient, and the self-checkouts are great they take cash. Add to this a new rewards program, it is a great place to get your groceries.
It's fine. I do most of my grocery shopping here. They aren't very good at keeping things in stock. There are a few things that I buy regularly like, for example, carbonauts keto bread. I don't know why but it seems like this food basics gets a shipment of that bread about once every two weeks and it's gone within 2 days of them receiving the shipment and they just never replenish it, never increase the order size, etc. It's really annoying.. they are like that with a few things that are popular but they don't order enough of and then they just don't bother restocking them for several weeks
Staff were not helpful and a bit rude! We noticed an item of produce wasn't good and we were told at the cash in the middle of the order to replace our own item than mad when I told them I didn't know my partners pin to pay and they would have to wait for him when there tap didn't work. I won't be back!
I liked going there...the staff are friendly always willing to help you with anything you need. Great prices too.
Parking lot in front of this store can be very busy. Staff are awesome at this store. Carts are always collected in lot. Can be messy at the entrance and exits. Free WiFi. Stock is good. Produce meats and vegetables are fresh. Cashiers are fast. Self checkout available.
